So was at a range in San Antonio. Saw this little pocket pistol and thought it looked really nice.
Asked to look at it. Felt good in my hand. Tried the trigger. Was very long. And a little heavy. But there was no safety on it; so I figure with a round in the chamber and in my pocket with a holster, a long heavy trigger pull is just a safety mechanism.
They wouldn't let me shoot before I buy, it was used and I kinda understand that. I did get to pull the trigger though. It was a double action , hammer fired gun.
Well on the the purpose of this post.
I shot a few mags at the range. It performed fine.
Took it home. Took the slide off. Put it back together. Dry fired a few few times. On like the 3rd pull the trigger slipped. Didnt engage the hammer.and never did again.
Looked up the problem on a Remington forum. Seems like that happens every now and then.
Theres no warranty on used guns from them. And the shop said the same thing. So I sent the pistol back to Remington and they said theyd fix it on my dime. The delivery there was on my dime too. Got 2 day delivery so it was 25$. Remington said turn around time should be about 3 months.
Anyone have a similar problem? Took it to a local gunsmith b4 i sent off. He said he couldnt do anything with it. Remington said them fixing it would be a new warranty on it.
Would yall get it back and then sell it off once fixed?
Even as a backup. Not sure if I wanna trust this thing with my life in a pinch.
