Rock River LAR8 specs

I have a 20" Rock River LAR8, and I am trying to find a free float quad rail for it.
Does anyone know if I have to use only rock rivers free floats?
Or can I pick and choose any kind I want?
I'm new to 308s and wasn't sure if they were completely manufacture dependant or not.

RRA has it's own barrel nut thread so you have to stay with RRA.

There's an adapter that can make the LAR-8 compatible with Daniel Defense's .308 rail.

I emailed Troy about their rails and I believe the .308 MRF and TRX quad rails for the DPMS will work for the LAR-8 since they utilize the OEM barrel but. JP also makes a FF tube that's compatible as well as the Daniel Defense quad rail.

Sws will make you an adapter and send with the rail. I've used them on a few builds. Nice rails

I have an LAR8 Elite Operator, and have been researching the same. Samson Manufacturing supposidely has in works an Evolution Series rail for the Rock River LAR8. Last I heard they were targeting a summer 2012 release.

Responding to an older thread but the fact is that a Daniel Defense 7.62 Lite Rail works great on the LAR-8. You need to get the Barrel Nut for the LAR-8 which can be had at Midway or DD.

Have you looked at RRA's advanced half quad? I have it on my LAR-8 and absolutely love it.
