Re: Roedale/Pete Lincoln Kudos
Nice copy .300sniper. we do actualy make a smaller version for hunting rifles with am M15x1 thread, but it hardly ever gets asked for.
We are working on developement of brakes all the time. The current design is based on years of experience with Military Weapons from small arms through to artillery plus experience in the space industry, but with no real scientific data to back up design.
We curently have a Diploma project running at the local Technical University, we've a Student and a Professor doing a scientific study into muzzlebrakes. The study will be finnished in August at which time I expect to find out that we are on the right track but the study will help us to refine a couple of designs and taylor a couple of different brakes to different aopplications.
The current design is the most effective i have ever tried, it is also one of the loudest. we are working on making a quieter version.
We just introduced a 2 baffle / port design ( if you take a look at our webshop you can see them) and we are now also making them in Stainless as well
We also just introduced a C22 version, which clamps directly to the Tikka T3 Varmint ( and Blaser 22mm) barrel.
´We currently have:
C20 which fits the H&K SL8 or with an adaptor can be fitted to just about any rifle that has a 1/2 x20, 1/2 x28 or 5/8 x24 thread.
C21 which clamps direct to the barrel of the Howa 1500 varmint and the Rem 700 varmint as well as some of the Savage barrels.
C22 which as i mentioned clamps to the Tikka T3
T18 / M18 which threads on the M18x1 thread of the T3 Tactical / TRG / Blaser and a load of other pre threaded rifles.
Stainless is an option on all but the C22 at the moment and stainless C22's are in the next production batch.
The Brakes are caliber specific. They are made caliber specific by the gas deflection insert in the front for the brake. We have insterts for .223 up wards and also have a larger version for .408 Chey tac etc with a .50 brake soon to follow.
The scientific data and test results (and they are intensive) from the current study will be incorporated for the next Diploma study which starts in August, this will carry on the current work but will be more directed into suppressors.
The current brakes will continue to be manufactured, with other models complimenting the line up plus suppressors adding as we move along.
