Yeah in the tradition of cowboy loadings that matched pistol and rifle for ease of supply.

With .357 you could get a simple hand loader/powder scoop and load by your tent at night.

The rifle and pistol would be a nice back country combo butI guess if you were going to carry the rifle and you could afford the weight a bigger cartridge might be wanted depending on what wants to eat you.

That is very cool... looks like they make it in a 44mag as well.
A 45acp suppressor ought to work marvelously with either of them, assuming the ammo is loaded properly.

I've been wanting to pick one up since they came out. I have an SRT 77/44 and it is by far my favorite gun I own. A 300gr SJHP is louder hitting coyotes in the yard then leaving the gun. I think the 77/357 would be a great with a can attached. A huge part of suppressing pistol cartridges is that the bullets are made to expand at the velocities you are operating at.

Just got mine back from SWS Rifles, they integrally supressed it. Great little rifle that is more fun now.
