Suppressors Rugged Oculus rust?

Hello,

A week or so ago I noticed my Oculus has got what looks like rust/corrosion on the end cap and just a bit on the direct thread end. Anyone seen anything like this? I plan on contacting Rugged Monday or Tuesday maybe they've seen this. It almost seems like its above the finish. I haven't had it very long, maybe in my possession for a few months with a total of around 500 rnds through it and have yet to clean it. Never been in rain or muck. I don't have a ultrasonic cleaner yet.

I'm soaking the end cap in Hoppes 9 right now to see if that will break it up with a nylon brush.

I have a Surge 7.62 as well with no issues I'm not sure whats going on with the Oculus.

Is ultrasonic the way to go with these?

Don't know for sure, but I think it's Alu min eeum. If so, no rust. Won't affect db reduction. Shoot it. The crappier it looks, the more Operator you look....

Fairly certain this suppressor doesn't use aluminum, mainly stainless steel. I'm not sure which variant some of which can rust.
