Rush Limbaugh passes away

Knew it was coming. last time I heard him you could tell he was fading. But I still said a prayer, because it is all I can do. That guy was hilarious.

Had to share Mark Levin's message on Rush. Mark was really wrecked... tells a touching story about ...well just listen:

RIP Maha Rushie, el Rushbo... What an amazing talent and personality. Love him or hate him, the world is a poorer place without him.

I’m still getting choked up thinking about it, and the damn cat must be in the room again because my eyes keep watering...allergies, yeah, that’s it. Makes it damn hard to put these words down.

I’ve been listening since 1989 when I was stationed in Northern CA and heard him on a local Sacramento station, then found him again when I moved to the Pac NW and listened to him, Michael Medved and others on 570KVI. Became a subscriber to the Limbaugh Letter shortly after that, and finally found a way to listen without missing a show, even when deployed, via his podcast. Didn’t always agree with him or even appreciate his bombastic way of illustrating the absurd by sometimes being absurd, but he helped me grow as a person, as a father, and as a Patriot. He always had a perspective that made me think...truly think about any issue he discussed.

No one can replace him, but I hope Mark Steyn is drafted to fill his shoes...Mark’s different, but has that same razor sharp wit...frankly none quicker...and Mark’s a bit more edgy and cerebral, which is more to my personal tastes, but again...he’s no Rush Limbaugh. No one is.

Or will ever be again.

Godspeed Rush. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
