Would anyone be able to supply some sort of a diagram that shows the reticule subtensions for a Schmidt & Bender P4 Fine please ? I have been able to find a few pics of the reticule on the net & S & B's website, but nothing that will give me a measurement of the subtensions or the thickness of the reticule.

Thanks in advance - I appreciate the help.

Can someone who owns an S&B P4 Fine verify that the post thickness is indeed 0.4 MIL ("B" in the diagram)? The diagram has either a typo or is not to scale. The diagram makes the post look to be 1.0 MIL, but they may have scaled it that way on purpose. Thanks.

Shoot me your e-mail address.

I have un published material from S&B on the PMII scopes, including the reticle dimensions.

Re: S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions

And so another problem - P4 or P4 Fine ?

Decisions decisions - it gives me a headache !

I need to cater for mid 40's eyesight, & the desire for reticle to be clear & bold.

Do any of the P4 users find it too thick ? Are any of the P4 Fine users finding that they loose the reticle in the background ?

I am currently using the Nightforce MLR & find that it is good, but I would not want anything finer than that I think.

Thanks........

Re: S & B P4F Reticule Subtensions

I have a p3 and a p4 fine in my scopes and the p3 mildot is just a lil to thick for bench rest type shooting(trying to really shoot tight groups) but its great for tactical shooting or hunting. As for the p4fine,i like it better for all of the above because i can shoot tighter groups with it and as far as hunting, when it gets late i just pop on the illumination and its just right. If the scope wasnt ill. the reticle is very hard to see late in the eavening.

from my understanding the p3 and p4 are the same thickness
Hope this helps!

Well tactical shooting doesn't really exist in Australia like it does in the US - not yet anyhow.

I mainly compete in F/TR Class matches until we can get some more dynamic matches up & running, & it will be used for some hunting as well mounted on my AI.
