Rifle Scopes Sale on Sig Tango 4 6-24x50 worth it?

I really like the Tango 6 scopes, and while the glass isn't in the TT or S&B class, neither is the price of the optics. To my eyes, it's a (smallish) step above the glass in the 1st gen Athlon Cronus.

Anyhow, at that price, it's a no-brainer, IMO, as long as you're an MOA (rather than MIL) user.

Edit- forget what I said above; it still pertains to the Tango 6, but I have no experience at all with anything in the Tango 4 line. My bad for misreading the subject and Dvor listing.

It's worth the $. I've had 3 tango 4's. A 3-12x42 moa milling ret., 4-16x44 moa Dev-L, 6-24x50 Moa Dev-L. I sold all of them. I've moved on to the Tango 6 line. I bought a 4-24x50 Moa dev-L this summer for a bolt gun. I'm about to buy another 3-18x44 for a AR-10. I thought the Tango 4 glass was on par with the Burris XTR 2 line. Turrets are small, but I did like the locking feature. There was a little bit of a tube affect (tunneling at all mag.) it wasn't a deal breaker, but noticeable. The gen 2 Pst's are better in every way!

Tango 4 = Vortex's original PST scopes IMO.

Not worth the money with the current Athlon offerings.

That is a pretty good comparison. We stopped carrying the Tango 4. It is just not reliable. Tango 6 is a different story, even though they look alike. T-6 is a very good scope.

In that price range, I would consider NF SHV, Leupold Mark 5 (probably more than T-4), Athlon and Steiner T5Xi.
