I just picked one up the 1st of the month. I've already finished the break in and started range data. Probly like you, i was a little held back from purchasing due to other bolt guns out there for cheaper, or equal $$$. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and have no regret what so ever. I will tell you this, with the clip full, a NF NXS, and a harris bi-pod it weights in @ 19 pounds. As long as you don't mind a little weight, which I don't, then you will be pleased. Hope this helps.

Ive had a BAT/S for a little over a year. very nice shooting rifle. only thing I did not like was the rear stock so I changed it out for a Magpul PRS II. i have put SMK, SGK and lately even some 110 gr Hornady through it and it likes them all. If I can avoid my five cup of coffee breakfast the rifle has shot some nice 1/2" groups. Will have to agree about the weight tho, with scope and bi pod it weighs in around sixteen.
