I have another savage with accu-trigger that I really enjoy but this trigger doesn't feel the same. Any replacement triggers I should be looking at? Does timney or anyone make one?

Check out the Apachee Trigger upgrade. It's cheaper than a full drop in trigger and completely eliminated the creep and wobble from my trigger. I also can set the trigger pull below 1lb.

Have you done a bedding job on yours yet? How does it shoot? I have an almost identical setup.

Haven't bedded it... Is the process difficult? I have never bedded a rifle ---

I have never bedded a rifle either. Getting ready to do mine but have a question on the proper measurement for the pillars which I started a thread on but haven't gotten any responses yet. My gun shoots very well but seems to throw a flyer every once in a while even with sorted ammo (weight and rim thickness). I played with the action screw torque but am hoping a proper bedding will eliminate one more variable. Post a range report when you get a chance.

Be careful. Bedding these guns, in plain English..is a B@#$h. There have been many posts about bedding the Savage MKIIs. Check them out. The pillars are tough as the front action scew is open. It is do-a-ble, but a lot of work. That is why many guys switched to the CZ 455. At least that was my reason....

Avoid the Rifle Basix trigger. I have one and its at 1.5 pds and slam fires if you cycle the bolt fast. I installed it just how they said to. If you cock it and hit the butt stock three times it will fire aswell. Im lookin for my accutrigger so i can get the Apachee pin and spring kit. They are 58 bucks from him.
