Judging from the link I would say it is a 1/2 inch longer than the factory handle. But with that said like in people the factory knob with the huge ball on the end appears short compared to a leaner handle with a small ball on the end.

Re: Savage Knob

I don't have a picture of that particular bolt handle installed, but it appears to be the same one that is put out by Kevin Rayhill at Stockade, which I do own. If so, I like it a lot and would recommend it.

Found Here: STOCKADE ACCESSORIES

I bought this knob and the "bolt handle lift kit" for a Model 10, but the knob alone improved the throw enough that I didn't actually install the lift kit.

btw, I know it may look particularly "troll-like" that my first post on the site is to recommend a product for a company [to which I have no connection], but that was not my intent. I don't really have that much knowledge to give; I joined so I can soak up some of the great information on this site as I slowly get into long range shooting.

Re: Savage Knob

here are two crappy cellphone pics of the Stockade-sourced knob that is installed on my Model 11 .243 hunting rifle. There is plenty of clearance to operate the bolt past the ocular bell; though admittedly the scope could be mounted a little lower.

Re: Savage Knob

X2 on the handle from the Kevin @ Stockade. I have 2 of them and his bolt lift lits on my Savages. They are longer than stock by over the 1/2". They work great.. Kevin is great to deal with. Straightup dude.
