Of course bear in mind that they are partial to the Savage. Feed back here MAY be more impartial as many different rifles are favored.

If your talking about the Mod 10PC and I think you are, I have one in .223 and I absolutley love it! I'm gonna say that for the price it's probably the best off the shelf rifle you can buy right now. It's a savage, it has the accu-stock, it has the acc-trigger, they shoot great, they have a cool digital camo stock, short 20" heavy barrel that's easy to carry. I've bought 6 rifles this past year and I think it's by far the best purchase for the money it cost. I'd take this rifle over a SPS Tacticle anyday, and to be honest I'd have a tough choice picking between it and a 700 LTR. I didn't even know the rifle existed until I stumbled across it on buds guns one day then went to the savage website and found it. I had 1/2" groups with it right out of the box with Hornady A-max's. I've been working on a good handload for it with Varget and 55gr V-max's and I'm hoping to shrink those groups even a lil smaller.
Savage 10PC = A+++ in my book. I got mine for $675 and it was worth every penny. I'd take it over a SPS all day!!

Just got mine in Friday! I have owned several Savages over the years with no gripes at all. Very accurate out of the box and many fellow hunters ended up buying one from me after exposure to mine. My 10PC came in and I have to say, I am more fired up about this weapon than any I have purchased in a while. Not sure exactly why... maybe it's just been a while since I've bought a new 308 bolt?
EGW base and TPS rings are on my desk now. My Bushnell 4200 6-24x50 MD SF is waiting here patiently also.
I have a Kevin Rayhill bolt handle on the way that should be here this week. Going to take her to the 'smith to get the bbl threaded and then will DuraCoat it all in Flat OD green and Flat Black. Only then will I take a day off and go out to shoot.... packing a lunch and relaxing all day. I can't wait! Will be putting up a post with pics and target results after it's all done.

I wish more people would give the 10PC a chance instead of the SPS Tacticle. I think in the end they would be alot more happy and they get alot more gun for the money.
