It is not that easy. If it were, coulda been done long ago. Even the 15x F1 is not just a converted SFP scope. It was a ground up optical design for FFP.
And.....we recognize that a lower cost alternative is appealing to the market. Those desires and requests are not falling on deaf ears. </div></div>

My point has not been about whether something is worth it to the buyer, but whether Nightforce can make the case that it is. Member turbo54 reflects the equation that buyers will make. If a 15x F1 can be bought for $2290, why is a 22x F1 priced at $2999 (estimated for discussion). The buyer makes the major feature comparison of 15x vs. 22x.
Nightforce says the unreleased 22x strives to be the "best 5-25 on the market". What can it do to bridge the apparent value difference between a 15x F1 and a 22x F1? I guess we'll see soon. Will it be enough to offer a 34mm tube and laboratory-quality glass, for example?
