I hope there's enough public outcry that his family won't face legal repercussions. I mean, how often do you really have a video showing how the entire situation went down? That little shit had it coming.

I love it! At my school the bully wouldn't have even gotten that far. There are a ton of us who would step in and kick the crud out of any bullies on our campus. That's one reason I like our school, there's always someone around who is just itching to beat down a bully.

The shrimp would've gotten the first hit off, but then I gurantee he would've eaten a fist or five from other students. Nobody gets bullied at my school.

Where do you get this stuff? They were both suspended for 4 days. None of the news reports say anything about a broken leg. No lawsuit is pending. The mother has only requested an apology from the big kid (Casey Heynes).

Because the kid was big, dosn't men he was the bully. I was 6'4" in high scool. I had several smalled kids make fun of me because I was
heavy. I ended up putting them in their place by using force. Didn't
stop them from pickng on me, they just did it from a distance. Just
because your big, dosn't mean your the agressor.

I was a big kid in school (1962 to 1974) and we had a problem with what we called hoods and I suppose they would call them gangs now. Back then when a kid defended himself it was ok and the bully learned a lesson. This suspending both kids is a bunch of crap. I got into it with the hoods when I voiced my opinion about them picking on a friend and ended up with the bunch of them after me. My father taught me how to defend myself and had told me that if a bunch are after you go for the leader and hurt him as bad as you can as fast as you can. I was in the 8th grade when the bunch cornered me where I had to defend myself and I went after Bully Wright their leader. I beat his butt across the hall, knocked him into a tall locker and beat his face while I was kneeling on his chest. I then got up and slammed the locker and the top latched. He was screaming bloody murder and one of the janitors had to pry the locker open to get him out. The principal called my father and while we were in his office he told my father that I did them a favor. They ended up kicking Billy out of school and I got a thank you from the principal along with my father for supporting me. I never had any more trouble with the hoods. It’s sad that kids cannot protect themselves anymore and often reach a point where they make a stupid choice and end up hurting a bunch of innocent people. Of course there is also the other hand where kids go out of their way to be different and bring crap upon themselves. Dressing like Goths and just looking strange comes to mind. Sure they should not be messed with but why do they have to draw attention to themselves so much. My hat is off to the big kid for dealing with the smaller bully.

fox news says they both got the same 4 day suspension. getting punished for clearly defending yourself after being seriously provoked by getting punched in the face three times is no way to teach a kid to be a man this is BS and the powers that be should be ashamed of themselves. whats going on with this country is a real shame, and i hate thats its happening on our watch. this kid should be given a medal not a punishment for beating a bully up badly

On the other hand, why do these kids have cellphones? And why do they have them at SCHOOL? Shouldnt they be studying? Wish schools would destroy every cell phone on campus if it belongs to a student, no questions, just smash it.

Total crap that the big kid got suspended for defending himself...

In 7th grade, I was that big kid, shy, big lack of confidence, and introverted. Big target for shit heads that needed to make themselves feel better. Walking home from school one day, one of them was giving me crap, and I raised my voice to get him to leave me alone. He sucker punched me and I freaked out and went into beat down mode and absolutely destroyed him. Don't remember how I made it home, was in shock and pretty sure I cried the entire damn way. Met at the door by my Dad who said the school had called and that I was going to be suspended for fighting. He only had 2 questions for me...

Did you start it? No....
Did you finish it? Yes...

He grabbed me by the arm, drove back to school, and proceeded to ream the principal a new one in front of me. The principal dropped my suspension and we went home. The kids Dad showed later that night at our house, my father told him what happened. This guys Dad shook my hand, apologized to me and went on his way to hand his son another beat down....

I miss the days where people were allowed to take care of their own business and use common sense to determine right and wrong.

If this were my son, we'd be going on a 4 day trip to Disney Land...

I hate bullies.

My brother was always small going thru school. He got picked on and I defended him when I had to. He was picked on by the same kid all thru lower and middle school. Fast forward to just a few months back, this same kid, 320 pounds and DIVORCED at 21 years old enters a martial arts class to lose weight, my brothers martial arts class....... that he has been in for 9 years.

So my little brother is about 6'1 188 pounds. He spars with former bully and the plunker takes a cheap shot and slaps him. Brothers goes low and scoop slams him that looked just like a Randy Couture takedown. The whole gym stopped and laughed as my brother had him in a triangle choke and the kid didn't know what "tapping" meant. He learned quick, and never showed back up for class.

Bullies always get their ass handed to them one day.....

God Bless your dad....

My dad, did the same thing for me. I was bullied for 5 years starting in 4th grade when I moved in the middle of the school year. Finally as a HS freshmen one of the bullies said he was going to kill me. I started beating him with one of those heavy metal school chairs. It took 5 people to get me down.

My dad was brought in to school, he said he would take care of me so I would not be expelled. Sure enough he did take care of me! Took me out for an ice-cream sundae and a little bit of what I understand now to be Krav maga!

I got into my first fight when I was in the first grade. My father had worked with me to learn a bit of boxing and to protect myself. I was in line at the drinking fountain and a bully from the second grade cut in front of me. I protested and the yoyo spit in my face. I punched him in the face as fast as I could and ended up mopping the ground with him.

When my father got home he said there I was setting in the corner looking like a whipped dog. My mother spouted off to Dad saying “you taught him to fight so you go talk to the principal”. My father took me back to school to talk with the principal Old lady Tudor. She was a sour old puss that didn’t have much respect for one protected themselves but she described what happened just like I did. My father laughed in her face. He told her that I was doing just what he taught me to do to protect myself. That was the end of it and I never got in trouble in any school for fighting. My father did make one thing VERY clear. That he had better never hear of me picking on someone or he would whoop my butt till I couldn’t set down. I took that to heart and never have picked on anyone and made a point in teaching my daughter and son the same thing. You deserve no respect if you pick on someone.

I’m lucky in that my father is still with us. He will be 89 in 8 days. I got him and Mom to move here 6 years ago and it was the smartest thing I’ve ever done.

That's what my Dad told me, and what I've told to my boy. He also said that if I ever started a fight that he and I would finish it. I believed him.

I remember when I was in elementar yschool, I was probably 8 and got chased most of the way home from school by 5 kids a couple years older than me that seemed to think I should make a good punching bag. I got to the front door and while all of the mwere waiting on the sidewalk for me to come out my dad asked me what was going on, I told him and he grabbed me by the ear, drug me outside, threw me on the lawn, and drew the 12ga from behind the front door. He proceeded to yell "If you want a f!@#$n fight you got one, but there ain't be none of this ganging up on him s!@t". "and when you get done I got the winner." My dad whooped me good when I got done with them. Fast forward about 15 years, my wife was 20 years older than me when we got married. Needless to say I came into 1 boy and 2 girls. Someone proceeded to do the exact same thing to our middle daughter. I did exactly as dad did, minus the shotgun, and spent 3 nights in the county jail while the local police tried to sort it all out. What has happened to the world?
