Rifle Scopes Scope for a 6lb Rifle

Just dropped one of these on a barrett fieldcraft. Seems like a great scope for a lightweight rifle. Glass is quite good and i like the reticle, but everything else about the scope is pretty bare bones, but thats what i wanted. Anything much heavier i would think would seriously upset the balance of a lightweight rifle
I just bought a fieldcraft and went with the Leupold VX-5HD 3-13x56 -- 22.3oz

Edit: Looks like the TT is a little expensive, back down to Mk5HD vs VUDU.

"Looks like the TT is a little expensive" Ya think :D I agree with you, the TT's are beyond most shooters' budgets, but they are amazing scopes.

Sounds like you need to try out the Mark 5 3.6-18x44, it is a great optic for your style rig and like ILya said, it could be that my copy of the Mark 5 was "worse" optically than others because of sample variation.

I just pulled the trigger on the VX-6hd 4-24 w the impact 29 reticle. I’m putting that on a new 6.5 PRC light weight Build (carbon stock and savage pre fit proof carbon barrel). 23 oz and will primarily shoot at 24,20,16 power (SFP I know). I also have the LRHS in 4.5-18 (love the reticle) on a 28 nosler. I’m with everybody else on wishing they’d make the Vx-6 and v6 in FFP but I’m in the west and if I’m shooting at 4-10 power I’m probably close enough to not miss (1st vs 2nd FFP not as much of an issue) so I’m swapping out a couple scopes to 2nd FP due to weight. The vx-3 I have compared to the vx-6hd is nothing in glass quality. I’m slowly becoming a Leupold fan.

I notice some butt-pad er "improvements" on that fix on the left of center. The one with the blue high-lights.
:)

I wrap everything with McNett tape and insert a thin piece of sorbothane (0.25" or so) under the tape for s lightly softer feel and non-slip grip.

I will get the wider recoil pad when they make it, but for now this works quite well. Generally, the wrap makes a bigger difference on teh cheekrest than on the buttpad.

Is the far left rifle a Mosin Nagant?
Were you sick of smooth actions and wanted something that felt like it were full of sand?
