Not sure if everyone here knows about these but I have used them and they are great for the money. Cheap and easy to use and adjust to different scopes. Cost is about $20 for 2 shipped. Enjoy!

No worries. I'll get some better pics.

great idea, nice alternative. the site shows some with a metal band as well i think. and just to let you guys know, keep your eyes on the group buy section. i just got an MGM for $35 plus shipping.

That's pretty cool, and the shop is 5 minutes from me. The guy who owns Breakaway comes up with some pretty neat fishing stuff. He competes in long distance casting competitions, and offers to teach people for free. Pretty good guy.

How in the hell did you decide these would work as throw levers? Pretty innovative yourself.

Interesting
I came across a picture of those last night on the forum somewhere. The piece you are using as a handle looks much more substantial than the other photo. I don't know if they are different size or if this is just a closer shot.
Question, is there a release on the thread lock? Or do they work more like a traditional zip tie?

Good find

Good find</div></div>

The knob is threaded, so as you turn the knob clockwise, the opening gets smaller, allowing it to tightly grip the power ring. That also means you can put it on and take it off easily, and without cutting/destroying it.

However, the parts are all plastic, so you don't need to get all He-Man on it when tightening. It will get plenty tight with moderate finger pressure.
