Picked up a new deer rifle. Ruger American Ranch in 300 BLK. Wanting to get a a scope that has exposed elevation turrets in case I want to dial for longer shots. Is there any other scopes on the market other than the Vortex Viper HS LR? Not wanting to put a ton of money in it. Max $450 any suggestions? Thanks

The Leupold is about the only other alternative I’ve found myself. I forget about Athlon. The Midas is out of the price range I want to spend really but looks like a good option. Might consider it and swapping it out on another gun along with the 330 Blk

Sightron S Tac 2-10.
Either hunter holdover or duplex reticle.
It has capped turrets, but you can run it with the elevation cap off.
For hunting, just figure your holdovers on the range and don't dial when hunting.
Very nice glass and well made, just about perfect size and mag range for your rifle.

Bushnell LRHS. Doesn’t meet your price point though...

Yea I can’t really justify 1500 for the LRHS. The rifle will be used as it was intended really on the farms. So it will be more of a beater rifle than anything. I figurd this search might be a tall task for the price I was willing to pay for a rifle and scope combo that will be banged around all the time.

Leupold with M3 turrets? You can run with a cap off and adjust by hand. BDC knobs are available from them as well as from aftermarket companies.

It wasn't my first choice, but rather for an M24 build, but I like the design. A non- mill dot reticle version would probably be cheaper than the mil dot versions are going for but I don't know for sure.

And, if you have a Leupold, or get one suitable for "cheap", they (Leupold) can change turrets and/or reticles for you. That might be another option to consider.
