Hunting & Fishing Screw the Turkey.....today were having Duck!

having only had the chance to get out half dozen times this season, i wasnt having much luck......either wed go out and get skunked, or we would shoot the fuckers and theyd fall deep into a thicket and we couldnt find em.

but not today, only had the chance to do a quick hunt this morning, and it payed off.....as we bagged 3 nice fatties.

Nice!......I had never had duck until a couple of years ago during some of my travels. Same thing with rabbit. I'm hooked on both now. Too bad that generally speaking, more restaurants in the US don't serve both. You can find them, but they're priced at the delicacy level. They are more mainstream, so less expensive in Europe.

managed to take them with #4 shot....... but they still gave up a fight, one of them swam a good 50yards after he came down....but these guys came in pretty close, if i didnt shoot them i could have just about clubbed them with an oar......which i think helped.

a buddy of mine was shooting 3.5" #2 shot and blew the fuckers apart, brought them down instantly, but damaged A LOT of the breast meat.
