We are getting a Slight ring around are bullets after seating new Redding dies for 6.5-284 what’s wrong?

The seating stem is a poor fit for that particular bullet. You can get another stem that fits that particular bullet better, or you can chuck up your stem and grind it out to fit.

can you feel it with your fingernail? If not and it’s just cosmetic then it’s no problem.

Put a bullet in the drill and a little lapping compound in the seating stem pushed together will polish them together real quick.

Or your seating pressure is way too high. Reduce the seating pressure.

Here's a simple task you can do that will give your seater die a more perfect fit to your match bullets. You can lap the inside of the seater stem so that it matches the exact profile of the bullet. This spreads out the seating force over a larger area of the bullet jacket.
