Hello. I have recently acquired a Weaver K10 scope that was represented as a "K10 60B". However, upon its delivery and close scrutiny, I have to believe this scope isn't a K10 60B. I suspect this may be an earlier vintage than the K10 60 I already own.
Unique characteristics include:
1. Male, as opposed to typical female, adjustment screw covers.
2. Elongated turret bases, housing retention screws at: 12, 1:30, and 3 o'clock.
3. What looks like an external brass retention ring on the ocular eye piece.
4. Classic 1 side screw/hook on Weaver rings engraved with Weaver identification information.
I became a fan of Weaver scopes as a junior shooter in the late 60s, and never encountered Weaver's with any of these features.
Can anyone help me "date" my scope and it's possible vintage?
