Damn, that’s disappointing. Heard of this issue in the PH1’s, hoped it is ironed out by now. They should make it right though.

how’d it shot when it did fire?

The good thing, i find out about this before I left for my hunting trip to Alabama, I would be really upset if I had an awesome deer on my sites and the gun went click.

Hey guys I am not sure if I am posting in the correct spot since this is my first time here. I recently acquired my bravo 6.5 cm. Once we mounted the scope I was cycling the action and realized the bolt hits the cheek pad. I am a bigger guy and always shot with a raised scope so obviously I raise the pad. This was the only page I believe I found someone here who had the same issues. Also I’ve noticed how much the mag rocks in the well. Any help would be appreciated.

KRG makes and sells a cheek piece that has a bigger cutout. I believe it's called a bravo 700 LA/T3 cheek piece. I had the same issue and this took care of it. It is made identical with the exception of the bolt cutout being a tad bigger.
I guess my question is why send it out like this. They have to check clearance I am sure. The rough bolt I can work around but this caught me off guard since They have had to hear of this issue

You should be able to loosen the 4 screws on the bottom of the fore end and then tap the fore end back to snug up mag fit.

Yeah, the other cheekpiece will for sure fix your issue. I've got a Havak Bravo in 6.5CM as well and I love it. I did not have to adjust the cheek piece though so I haven't ran into that same issue. I bought a KRG Bravo for a 300PRC I've got and it came with the secondary cheek piece with the cutout already. They're great stocks, and the Seekins is a fantastic rifle. My Havak Bravo really likes the Federal loads with the 130 Bergers.

This is the response I got from Seekins

Yeah with having another manufacturers stock on there they're kind of limited for what they can do concerning the stock. Iv'e got two KRG Bravo's and neither of them have any play in the magazine. I'd adjust the fore-end on it and it should tighten up the magazine well for you. KRG is great to deal with and they usually get back to you really quickly.

I don’t have the Havak Bravo but I have it’s predecessor the Havak HP1 6.5cm with the Magpul Hunter 700 chassis stock.

I cleaned the barrel and the bolt after unboxing the rifle. I cleaned the barrel after each threeshot group. I shot a few different brands and bullet weights. The trigger was set from the factory at 3 lb 6 oz which is heavy for me but it broke very crisp with zero creep.

The Hornady 143 gr ELD-X Precision Hunter shot the best. Groups attached.

Nothing a little Dremel work can't fix. Although, I will have to admit, I wasn't too happy about having to take a Dremel to a brand new $1800+ gun...

On a side note, I am starting to reload and I'm having some good luck with R16 and 140gr ELDM's. The Chambers on these guns are pretty large, especially the throat. I am maxed out on length in the Magpul magazine, and I'm still 4+ thousandths off the lands. My gun shoots 140GR factory Hornady ELDM ammo right around 2660. With my loads, I'm finding a good node in the mid 2600's and mid to upper 2700's, don't really want to push it much further. Going to play around with it some more and post up some info later.

100 yd zero
Seekins Havak HP1

I have been happy w the Hornady 147 gr ELD-M and 143 gr ELD-X rounds Through the Seekins. I tried the Sellier & Bellot 140 gr and the Federal 130 gr Berger and those shot a little larger groups.

I’m hoping to work up some loads to shoot but this makes me think I’ll stay with the 147 gr Hornady bullets.

140gr ELDM. RL16, 2.2330" OG. 77° @ sea level.

Going to load up some 42.2gr and 42.6gr rounds and play with seating depth from .005-.01 tomorrow. Once I figure out what it likes I'm going to take it out to 600 to see how they hold up. The wind was blowing pretty hard this day but it was consistent.

Just note I mixed up the velocity info for the last two groups.

I’ve got a seekins havak bravo 6.5 prc and it’s a great rifle. Working on loads and found sweet spot - 57.8 h1000, 147gr eld- 2970 FPS avg, sd 1.4. Five shot groups in 20 mph cross wind 100 yards. Really happy with progress now on to long range test with more of this load.

Took my 6 Creed out for the first time a few weeks ago. Shooting 100 yards, took 3 shots to get close to zero, then fired these two 4 shot groups. Factory Hornady 108 gr Match ammo.

This rifle has great potential!

The havak 6creed loves the factory 108’s. Mine has around 300 rounds down the tube and really tightened up after 100. I take it out to 1000 regularly. Here’s a few groups from 500-1000

I can’t speak highly enough of these rifles. I’ve got much higher priced customs but these havaks plan shoot!!

nice! Let us know how it shoots when you get it.
got a chance to stretch my 6.5 prc to 750 recently - was able to pepper the gong
Next time out I get to test my shadow tech/ pig saddle set up.

I’m a wimp; I added 4 lbs of lead shot and epoxy to my Seekins Havak Magpul 6.5creedmoor.

a friend has a Seekins Havak PH2 and a Bravo both 6.5 PRCs with a suppressor and has not had any recoil issues.

I see people having issues but I never have. I probably have 600 rounds through my 6.5CM. I’ve cleaned it maybe twice. I just don’t care. I don’t wait for the barrel to cool. I’ll let it get shot numerous rounds non-stop Never had a single issue with it even filthy. Thing is just as accurate as day one. It serves exactly the purpose I purchased and equipped it for. A lightweight rifle I can beat the shit out of, let the kids shoot all they want while leaving my other stuff alone lol.
The 300PRC I have on the way will be a better taken care of rifle with a different purpose. I purchased it because I’ve been so impressed with the 6.5cm
Hopefully no issues there either.
but I’ll definitely let you know

Has anyone here shot or own(ed) both a Seekins Havak Bravo 6.5 PRC and a Tikka in same or similar caliber. I am debating building a 6.5 PRC Tikka from a donor action or possibly waiting to see if they release a rifle in this caliber in June (per shot show rumors). Seekins Bravo is really attractively priced. I have shot Tikka rifles in Bravos already and really like this chassis. I had hoped to stay in the Tikka footprint for ease of swapping components but I'm seriously considering a Seekins Bravo. I mostly shoot at the range and I'm hoping to get into PRS and similar comps. This would not be for hunting but hopefully to shoot 800 -1500 yrds.

Do you have one already? I can measure when I get home but frankly the Seekins Havak PH lop is pretty much the shortest on the shelf for an adult rifle. I would have guessed it around 13? My wife is around 5’ tall so in searching we’ve tried them all as far as off the shelf rifles go. The Seekins is comfortable for her.

I do not. Considering one and I don't recall the LOP off the top of my head. Given they won't/can't do a custom LOP, I'm digging into this a bit. I find a standard 13.75" LOP in a sporter stock to be just too long.

I sent them a note on LOP, but perhaps I didn't ask the question in a way that made it clear what info I was after.

Find any Cabela’s they likely have one in stock. I’m confident there’s probably a shop within 1-2 hours of you that stocks them.
DM me with your location if you want help I have nothing better to do business is slow these days. Damn virus.

So I have a Havak Bravo. I was thinking of switching out the trigger but after a few whacks with the ole Eastwing and a 1/8 punch (left to right) it wont move and Ive nicked up the trigger pins. I didnt put the action in a vice.

Beyond this what am I doing wrong?

Going to a TriggerTech, manual says gently tap the pins out...
