I just got my first set of Seekins rings for my 3-20 S&B and didn't see any serial numbers on them. They are supposed to be "serialized" and I have always assumed that means they have serial numbers on them to show that they match? Does serialized mean something else?

I plan on using them but I just wondered if they should have numbers.

Re: Seekins Rings

Hmmm...
The serial numbers are on the bottom on the center cross lug, very hard to see sometimes after coating. Check there and let me know. They better have some

Well I got a good light and magnifying glass and lo and behold they were on there. Very difficult to see though.

Thanks Glen for pointing me in the right direction. I can't wait to get them mounted up.

BTW, good choice on rings, you will be happy with your selection. Glen and the seekins guys make only the best stuff. </div></div>

Glen's bases, rings, and DBM assemblies are all first class stuff.

Re: Seekins Rings

I mark mine with a small punch in between the two screws that hold the top half and bottom half together. I mark both halves on one side only with 1 dot on one ring and 2 dots on the other. I also mark the part that clamps the ring to the base with the correct dot. You will never be able to mix them up this way. If you ever need to sell them you can assure the buyer that the rings are still in fact , matching. Just a thought.
