Better idea is to sell them California, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, NY, NJ, and Masshole, and pay off the entire debt.

Why sell off any land. Hold the politicians accountable for the debt from the bills they pass and deduct it directly from their accounts and sell off any assets they own. Hold them to a balanced budget and if they cant pay the difference then they go straight to jail. That should fix the issue in no time at all.

Before you sell off NY, can you wait long enough for me to move out, I’ve been hoping they would split us into 2 states, the urban NYC and Long Island, in one and the rest of upper NYS in another.
Who were the 7000 people who signed this? Were they from Montana, or from California? I would much prefer to sell California to Mexico. We could keep the areas of California that we like, but sell off most of the coastal areas, keep the good farmland in the Central Valley, and all the water sources like the Colorado river. Mexico could have the coast line from current Mexico up to about 300 miles south of the Oregon border. I would also suggest selling areas of Oregon and Washington, but we need some coastline for shipping and military uses.
