Range Report Shooter or Ballistic (non AE)?

I'm new to the game and looking to learn and get a ballistic calculator app for my iPhone. I've searched as much as I can on here and have seen both sides. Considering I'll be getting the non AE (the $10) version of Ballistic or Shooter which is recommended, especially for a newer long ranger shooter? (Yes I put the pun in there, didn't want to find a thesaurus) And your reasons why you recommend each one.

They all do the same thing. I think people choose the interface they like the best. I use iSnipe because I like the interface and other options. Nevertheless, I like what the guy from JBM has done for us overall. I have his apps as well. Same things goes for Shooter. That guy as a popular book that has helped a lot of people get excited about our passion.

I got Ballistic thinking I was getting shooter, then found out they are two different programs. So I got both, I like both they are somewhat different and I like aspects of both. If I was doing it all over again I'd still get both. For $10 bucks each you can't go wrong.

They're fun, even for a non teckie like me, you'll find they are easy to use, and trust me, if I can figure them out anyone can.

I bought both and they both work well. For me I do prefer Shooter, just seems easier to use (for me at least). Either one is a good option for the money.

I use Ballistic AE and if your data is correct it normally tracks right on the money. I use my Atrag MX and compare the two and get good numbers both ways. Use the Litz section for BC selection (G7) and you should be good to go.

One hint that works for me is I use Density Alt in my atmos section. Set pressure to absolute and Humidity to 50% adjust enter your temp and D Alt.
