17x here. Excellent clarity. Only checked them out to 650yds. Worth it!

They don’t fit in the factory bag anymore. Anyone look at quality harnesses that fit with them installed?

I received and returned a set of 10x for a swap last week. HUD flickered in the auto brightness setting, focus knob had a good 3/8-1/2" play before engaging and actually changing focus. Everything else was very good..... glass, ranging, features, wireless linking. Hopefully I get back a set with all good. The price point is too high for it all not to be 100%.

Honestly, it's pretty obnoxious that Eurooptic hasn't even managed to fill all the pre-orders and other retailers are managing to get them on the shelves. Oh well, maybe in the next batch...

I have been singing the praises of Europtic for years but they seem to have dropped the ball on their own orders with this product. I gave up on them getting inventory and moved on to another known quantity.

If you had them on auto brightness and had them in a quickly changing light condition (inside, next to windows, lights etc.) they will flicker a little.

Mine flickered dark, light, dim, inside, outside, whatever. Unchanging light conditions with no change in ambient light. Not a big gripe I won't use the auto anyway but the focus knob was very very mushy with far too much play for me. Seriously couldn't believe it passed any QC at all. That said they are feature rich and impressed me in every other way. But, we all know the past history of Vectronix and service so I want everything A1 out of the box. Anyway, not here to bash Vectronix or the unit, I really like it. Just relaying my experience.

Just pointing out that you may need to accept that when in auto, also the focus knob seems to be about the same on every unit I've seen, which matches what you described.

My first thought was maybe it is designed that way so I asked. Response was send a video of the play which I did and that was followed up with a return label. Guess I'll see. I didn't ask to return it just asked is the play was normal. If I know they are all like that as you note, that is a different thing.

You have no idea how many pre-orders Euro had. Their pre-orders are sucking up every unit they receive. Now compare that with some place like CS Tactical that will only ever sell a handful of these units. Yeah….hes got some “on the shelf” because he sells a 1/10th of the inventory as Euro. I assure you that Euro isn’t just sitting on inventory to piss off customers.

And multiple of the smaller companies placed preorders through EuroOptic and then had guys place orders through them. So when they get 15 or so units it’s because they placed those earlier than others.

Vectronix told me they will be shipping a lot of 12x DMRs in April.

Additionally, just got off the phone with EuroOptic and they are currently fulfilling preorders from May/Early June. Which leaves me really confused on how some folks with June preorders got them in November, unless Vectronix supply of 12x DMRs just died off during November.

And surprisingly, I don't give a fuck how many pre-orders they had. Imagine that. A bit of effort towards communication with the other vendors to make sure end user pre-orders were being fulfilled and then making sure other vendors received a fair balance on the back end would go a long way. Big difference between what a vendor is unable to do and what they are too shortsighted to put in scope.

WOW! These are everything I had hoped they be. Glass quality is damn near on par with my Swaros as well. I am heading to the range tomorrow if the weather holds out to see how they perform in the field. I have the 12x DMR's and there's little to no play in the focus knob.

Received mine after @CSTactical convinced me to give em a try 😉 😜 (Thank you! ❤️) and big thanks to @mmlook at PRSTF for rushing me a mount.

The focus knob is NOT mushy on my set compared to previous posts. In fact, mine are a little stiff but doesn't have any play and focus quite nicely.

I'm a Swaro snob, but the glass on these are spectacular. My laser to reticle also appears to be dead on. I have tops of trees that I can range from my house and I was getting readings from 300 to 2000 yards. CA is very minimal. Color reproduction is outstanding. These are NOT Swaro 14x NL Pure or BTX 115 glass but these are the best consumer grade LRF glass I've encountered so far. The diopter adjust is nice and stiff, I'm not afraid of bumping them. With my crappy eyesight, it's nice how there is a wide range of adjustment that can be done for each eye.

Updated to firmware 180. Only issue is it took a few tries. It would attempt to update, then the unit would turn off. And take awhile to turn back on. I would press and hold the range button a few times. I think I got it on try #3.

The eyecups are okay. Would be nice if they were rubber versus plastic. They stay in place and that's all I care about.

The flip caps are decent. I want the Tenebraex covers badly but holy shit why are they $400!! 😮😮

The tactile feel of the range button is damn near perfect. Not too hard to disturb the reticle and not too soft to easily press accidentally. This worked well on the tops of for trees out to 2000 yards.

The VECSS app is damn nice, too. I'm pleasantly surprised a manufacturer actually has a firearm based app that works 100% of time. Syncs to the unit instantly and is not some POS made in the 90s. Bravo. (I'm looking at you Calypso and Kestrel)

I wish there was a way to change the shortcuts from the main HUD. I'd rather assign a long button hold to change wind, versus a menu or scroll that the current setup has. Sig10k Gen 2 got this one right. Ahem... Firmware update soon?... Ahem

My thoughts for now. I will be running them in a 2 day match this month. Looking forward to using the range card feature (which is fast and very easy to use!).

Well I got away for an hour to hit the range with the Vector X 12x DMR's. I have to say that so far I am impressed. AB was spot on with my dope/turrets out to 1000. If my Swaro EL's were a 10/10 in terms of optical clarity then these are a solid 9/10, by no means a slouch and giving up very little to the Alpha glass market. I found the ranging soft key function intuitive and easy to use. I enjoyed the internal range card as well. Looking forward to getting them out to distances in excess of 2000 yards soon. Still trying to decide between the Area419 Arca attachment and the adjustable cant offering from RRS.

Does anyone have a direct number to Vectronix for support/service? Only thing I see on their website is a “fill in the blanks” and we’ll get back to you. I hate that shit.
I called EuroOptic after not hearing back from Vectronix through their fill in the blank form on the website. They gave me (603) 296-0469 which sends you to Optics 1. I was never able to get a person to talk to through that number. I ended up messaging Philip through this forum and he tracked down my email and helped me out. I’ve heard a couple reports about emails through the contact form on Vectronix’s site getting lost and no replies. Not the most confidence inspiring, hoping they figure out a better way for customers to communicate.

This^^^ 100

I forget what info on the HUD I was looking at, but I thought the same thing… sooo close (it’s my biggest gripe)

I thought the app was ok, it’d be cooler if you could change wind right on the app….

I appreciate the info. I called Euro and they said the only way was to fill out the form on their website. I’ll try giving that number a call. I’m having some very weird ranging issues. Hitting a cow in a bottom at 1094 yds two times then it will give me a range of 1296 on the same cow. There is no way it could hit anything to get a reading that far. The cow is in a bottom so it’s not hitting anything past/behind the cow. I replicated it multiple times yesterday evening. It seems like everything inside 1000yds was pretty much dead on with my PLRF05, but past that, it gave some very odd ranges multiple times. Also, when ranging power line poles up a right away, I was able to pull the + aiming point way off the pole and still get the same reading. Like the + wasn’t even on the pole anymore. Just out in mid air and it would still range the same distance as when it was on the pole. And there was nothing behind it but clear blue sky.

My Vectors are 0.1 mil high of my Kestrel dope(which is trued). I have every input the same. Spin drift, AJ all that stuffs turned on in both devices, atmospherics all the same, I don't get it. This is with 3 profiles. Even if I set the zero offseta all to 00s, still a tenth off. Everything is updated, I'm stumped. I just pull a tenth off the bino dope to targets to 600y, but use kestrel on stuff further cuz I can't trust it as VectorX is near 0.2 high at a G.

I had the same exact findings with mine yesterday

Not sure emailing Phillip will do anything. I emailed him about Terrapin X's and finally heard from him more than a month later. Emailed him about service for a PLRF05 2 weeks ago and nothing. Looks like same ole same ole with the new and improved Vectronix service model. Good products, nil service. Contact is nearly impossible. Without the Hide contact is impossible. One strike away from being done with Vectronix and willing to deal with blue hue for a supported product.

My 6.5cm was 0.1 high out to 1200. I plan to speed up the velocity to get it to match my kestrel. My dasher was farther off but I need to look at all the data again. Maybe I fat fingered an input

I just realized that I had the last LOT velocity average in the Vector X gun profile which was 2690 vs. the latest LOT velocity of 2720 which I had in the Kestrel. I hope that 30 fps velocity difference is all that was needed for the elevation difference between the two. I’ll verify next range outing.

Had a few hours yesterday glassing. The 14x NL Pure is so magical. BTX 115 is of course a monster.

Vector X has good glass, nothing like the Swaro above. The edge clarity is good but still a little soft if you look closely. The 'blue' is noticeable when going back and forth between the Swaros and Vector X. However, it is so minimal that you would have to switch between them and non-lrf binos to notice it really.

Laser is dead on. Ranging tops of naked trees with easy, out to 3200+ yards. Using the scan mode, I found the reticle represents near perfection with the laser.

Do you have an offset in?? I had the same issue, yesterday, with 1 bullet out of 3, I discovered that the offset is screwy, backwards from what I was thinking…

This is on my trainer/plinker rifle, shooting 140gr factory seconds that have a poi .2 low at 100, but same speed as the 140hybrids so I just do an offset and this is what I found maybe it helps maybe not-

one pic is Strelok which matches kestrel, the other is the VECSS app, one is “where bullet impacts” one is “compensation needed”???
