I am looking for a short precision scope for my new Desert Tech SRS covert and I’ve narrowed it down to the Bushnell DMR-II Pro with G3 reticle or an Eotech Vudu 5-25x50 with H59 reticle.

Which one would you pick?

I can pick up the DMR-II Pro for $500 less for the next week, so that is tempting, but I’m more drawn to the features of the Vudu and the fact that it’s even more compact and its 5oz lighter. That and I’m hesitant about th G3 reticle.

Also take a look at the March 3-24x52 with Xmas tree. Stupid light, compact, great glass and reticle. A bit more money but nothing compares to features and quality in such a small and light package.

The March 3-24x52 is my dream optic and that would fit the bill perfectly. BUT, I’m in Canada, and I’m looking the DMR2-PRO for $1900, the 5-25x50 Vudu at $2400 and the March would be $4600 here, which is simply out of my budget. By a lot. I find ways to save here and there, but I have a family to take care of and I really can’t justify $4600 for a single optic.

In Canada you have 20% of until next wednesday

I will end up netting my dmr2pro for 1100 after my rebate comes back.

If that 500 off you mentioned isnt a 20% rebate then absolutely go for that and add the rebate on top of it!
If it was the rebate you were referring to... well, its still nice but if its 1500 final then thats just an everyday price, for the US at least.

I know about the 20% rebate already and that’s why I’m trying to make a decision soon. The price of the DMR-2 Pro here normally is $2650, the dealer is giving 15% off, then the 20% mail in rebate brings it down to about $1900 after taxes.

The Vudu is Normally $3000 here.

Cripes. It gets pricey up north. And I guess export restrictions keep you from buying from the us on optics.

I have no idea what’s a bargain or what options you even have available to you up there. I feel the bushnell line is a little more proven but I’ve also heard the eotech is a fine scope but not really much since release.

I've got the DMR2 Pro on my gas gun, and I have been really happy with it. I wouldn't be too worried about the G3 reticle, either. I have XRS2s on my match and training bolt actions, and I can make accurate corrections down to .1 when needed, and can even measure to .05 of I have a few seconds to really stare at it.

Glad to hear it, thanks!
