Short report on H4895 in 308 LC brass shooting 150s.

I think you are just a little low still for an 06. Somewhere around 45 ~ 47gr from my past experiences where I ended up. My Garand runs 45.5 well with the 155's. I double checked the Hodgdon site, up to 51gr for most bullets in the 150gr wt but I'm assuming that's for bolt-guns mostly.

But this is for a 308, I did load these with 43grs H4895 since the rifle that these will be shot from is a Browning BLR, should give the user some good shooting.

JGorski,

it's crazy how coincidental the accuracy node of this powder is to AR-Comp

with 150s i got good groups at 43.5gr and at 44.7 per my notes.

This was out of a 20" 1:10 twist LR-308.

Sorry for teh diversion in topic, but w powder scarcity, it's good to have alternatives w known charge weights.
