I saw this posted elsewhere.... why are empty shotgun shells called Hulls?
Anyone know the history on this term?
I believe empty brass shells were still shells or brass... at some point, maybe when the industry switched from all brass to brass base and paper upper, the spent shotgun shell became a Hull.
Anyone know the Orgin of the term?
