Seems like they initially ducked but I’m guessing they got back into it after the camera goes down. Hopefully more footage will be available.

hitting the ear is about 1-3" away from fatal
was the perp shot too soon? because maybe missing at that distance was unbelievable?
a second shot not believed to be necessary in the planning?
in truth what was the rifle? AR? KAC level gun or shit home build? what ammo used? sighting device?
why AR not an appropriate bolt gun?

Without giving specifics, there are protocols in place that make it very easy to know if someone is authorized to be somewhere.

The one video that's been posted a lot shows a set of 3 shots, Trump seeming to react after the second shot, then a pause after he goes down then a whole barrage of other shots, then perhaps one shot after the barrage?
Hard to say but my guess is the first 3 shots were the shooter.
After that I'm not sure what is what, but at least 1 or more were the snipers.

It’s conceivable with a very good camera like they have. I caught a bullet on camera one time and that was a 2015 Iphone. You can see the golden streak of the brass .458 at 2700 fps just in front of the bottom of the label in the second picture then two of the petals exiting out the back after impact.
No way they mistake this guy as possible good guy. Inside job, or most incompetent police protection in world history.
sure brings SS competence or collusion into question. but,i have wondered about same at dallas in 11/63.
So not to defend why the SS didn’t have the building secured in the first place but looking at the pictures from a couple different angles it’s clear the guy put a tree between himself and the snipers on the red building roof.

Watch the video of SS on the red barn and started to criticize them. Seeing multiple photos and videos, I believe that team had an obstructed view. The guy kneeling and coming off his glass reminds me of a hunter that see something through brush comes off glass get to get different look. He does get quick scope shot off and 300WM rocks him with the heist engagement with the rifle.
