Re: SHWW Group

Hey all,
First time I've seen this thread. Love to get involved. Sounds like ya'll are having too much fun. I'm an NRA RSO and live near CRPC. Helped run Wades IDPA years back. Happy to help and or shoot. Sounds like most of what ya'll do is long range?
Always looking for people to shoot with, I'm a member at CPRC and Wades.

Re: SHWW Group

mrtoyz... seems like I recognize that from somewhere....

Welcome. I shoot a lot at CRPC... when I can't get to any steel
wink.gif

We are all about the long ball (or roughly 1k & under)... Stay tuned... shoots coming up!

Re: SHWW Group

Thanks Tribe.
I'd like to have steel on all the ranges at CPRC
smile.gif

If I can finish up a deal on a long and action and bolt, I'm going to build up 388LM with Dennis Brush. Excited about getting out beyond 600...

Re: SHWW Group

Something to think about... if the 338 is going to be your only bolt, you may find very limited opportunities to shoot it in a group setting....

Most MD's already get heartburn over the 300wm....

Re: SHWW Group

Good point, did not know that. Bummer. Maybe later then.
I have the opportunity to "try" and shoot out past 2000, hence my interest in 338LM.
I do have a 20" folder in 308 on my bucket list....

Re: SHWW Group

Not much Tribe. I had my 308 and 300wm at the gunsmith for a while which sort of makes shooting difficult
wink.gif
got the 308 back still waiting on manners for the 300's stock.

Should start seeing me at crpc again soon!

Other than that just working some long hours last few months.

How you been?

Re: SHWW Group

Excellent

You need to join us sometime.... when you get done wrenching on the damn things....

Hopefully I'll catch you down there at the square range, sooner than later!

Maybe I can put a face on mrtoyz at the same time....

Re: SHWW Group

Hey Guys! I don't know how I have missed this thread, but I sure am glad that Marty got me pointed into the right direction. I plan on attending the match on the 27th. It will be my first, but guy has to start somewhere. Man I am stoked!

Re: SHWW Group

STS... Very well... it's a dart.

Put it in an AICS... Set it back at 1,500rds.... it's at around 2k now after set-back... and it's still kicking... can't figure that one out

Re: SHWW Group

BW and Tribe

we are going to let the magnums come one more time and see how it goes. i would really prefer if you have a non magnum to bring it instead, however this time we will allow it. the course of fire is designed to where there is no serious advantage to shooting a magnum. in fact it is designed so that there is no real disadvantage to shooting the 308 even with factory ammo. the match will be won by the best shooter, not the best rifle.

Its the barrel. That Bartlein and SSG's smithing are a very good combination. I'll be bringing my new .264 LBC. Man I can hardly wait!

Note to self if you forget your ammo for a match you are going to be flipped some shit. also when you complain about the borrowed rifle you will get an extra dose of harrassment.

Re: SHWW Group

OK. I can show up for this one, but if it's full, I don't have to compete. Planning on being back in Sunny Side around then for some more work, so I might just drive up in the morning from there. Depends on how the work goes tho.

Jake,
After you placed third with a borrowed rifle you left the thing on the ground out in the rain, I think you deserve some shit for that. LOL

Jim i would understand and of course still come, but honestly i didn't hear the best things about the oregon setup so i would prefer without. either way adam and i will still be there giving it our best.

Re: SHWW Group

Shooting from a Helo...now that's outta my league, but perhaps I'll eventually get there...one shot at a time. I wish someone had a video of us standing around BS'ing when Team-Send-It had the commentary on the bath his stick was getting, or when Marty demonstrated to Jake how easy it was to adjust the too low bipod on same borowed rifle. PRICELESS

I know, I'll get my lambasting in a couple weeks...Looking forward to it gents. Maybe a group hug is in order-HA-HA
