Re: SHWW Group

Trying to get a list going for BSCIII. Will be on 4/30/11 @ my spot N of Sedro Wooley. Same as BSCII. Entry fee is $40.00. So if you're in let me know. Also, the COF will be better/easier this time with less UKD targets.

So far:
Rover31.

Re: SHWW Group

Hello all,
I thought I'd take a moment and introduce myself. I was directed to this page by Jake (jcvibby) when I got some targets from him. I have been having a hard time finding anywhere to shoot past 300 yards in western Wa. and he told me about the shoots you guys put on. I am currently back in school (UW) but I would love to get to a shoot as soon as I can, even if it's just to help out and meet everyone. I'm a Guardsman here in Washington, but we don't get to shoot as often as I'd like, so I'm looking to supplement that. Looking forward to meeting you all, and having fun!

Is this one newbie friendly? Also what is max range and projected round count? I'd like to go but I'm still wet behind the ears.

Re: SHWW Group

Daps they are all newbie friendly best way to do this is to get out and try it. Most of your fellow competitors will be happy to help you out along the way including me.

Send It!!!

Last day for t shirt orders guys so get them in today.

Re: SHWW Group

BSCIII list is:

rover31
STS
blurry6
capt. kirk
tribe
mjh
rotor
mattj
team send it
ak mike.

The match will be virtually the same as BSCII with some positional changes, etc. Round count is to be < 100 rnds, & longest shot will be 1300 yds with the majority being from 300-800yds. Newby's are welcome, as are big sticks.

Re: SHWW Group

Hey guys, am I the only lefty around here? I have a LH stiller predator short action 308 face new in box. Fluted bolt, sako extractor, tac knob, oversize recoil lug,20 moa base. Let me know if you know a lefty that might want something like this for a face to face deal and no shipping or long wait. Thanks

Jake

Re: SHWW Group

Daps,

Lots of places in Capital Forest to shoot and stretch things out. Most of them are not on the Oly side though. Go in at Rock Candy and you will find several canyons a guy can shoot across. I have a few spots that I can get out to 1200 up there, one out to 1800. Also have some just out of Elma that we can get out to 2k. There are lots of places around, just have to go find them. I wouldn't setup steel and leave it there though. Definitely retrieve it. Even in places behind locked gates. Had a bunch of it stolen and it was in the middle of clearcuts 2 miles behind locked gates! Meth heads are desparate.

Re: SHWW Group

Well, I've started to pick up the pieces for my 700 build finally! Now I have a couple questions; Do you guys know any gun shops/sporting good stores in the Pierce County area that carry the 700 SPS tacticals in .308? I would like to pick one up locally.

And a few good gun smiths in the area for a trigger job, bedding, true the action, and lap the lugs?

Great guys super customer friendly.

Re: SHWW Group

Well I had hoped to get out and do some shooting today. However winds are currently 15-25 with 40mph gusts. It might be good preparation for next sunday, but I think I'll wait and see if conditions moderate. Anybody got a dope chart for 25mph winds...

big +1 on cascade arms co. I bought my 1911 from them last summer and they were great to work with.

Re: SHWW Group

Correct Ranger! My comment was kinda tongue in cheek because of ellensburg winds. However for the ellensburg area, 5mph might be low as a starting point for wind. There's a pass on the back way from Blewett to the north end of town that has 80% or so of the tree limbs bent around on one side of the tree because of the prevailing wind. Are you going to make the shoot next Sunday?
