Suppressors Sig 338QD Suppressor

I’ve got a monster 338 Phantom from YHM... the Sig is really attractive as it weighs almost half!

Not sure which is better at sound supression, but if the Sig was around back when... I’d have gotten that.

I do hear that titanium hold heat longer... not sure if thats true or a factor.

I have one on 338 desert tech and works great. Only downside is the muzzle break has a weird taper thread pitch that SAC had to do special.

They have a tapered shoulder. You can seat it up against a square shoulder and it's just fine, KB just needed to be different. His Q cans are the same.

The muzzle brake is timed with a crush washer independent of the qd mount. They work very well.

Different yes, but I have become a believer in the taper mount. I have two Sig cans, 338 TI and 7.62 SRD. The tapered shoulder is superior to standard shoulder...never had one shoot loose. (Can’t say that for my other 6 cans)And yes, the Sig 338 TI mount will work fine with a traditional threaded muzzle, just use the included rock set.

I fully agree with you. My srd762 stays put on every barrel it goes on. I've been having my smith cut the taper on my barrels that have enough meat.

So no issues with threading the QD muzzle device on a standard shoulder? I just test fit mine, and it seems like it doesnt catch a lot of threads on a heavy palma barrel. Mine is the 762QD-TI.
