Anyone compare the Sig 3000BDX ranging capabilities to the same in the Vectronix Terrapin?

The ranging capability have easily matched what I saw with my Terrapin X.
Can anyone tell me if the reticle inside of the Sig 3000 BDX is visible from both eyes or just one? Also is the bluish tint that people mention is on both eyes or just one?
Last month, ran the 3000 against a Terrapin. 3000 was getting reads the Terrapin was not. On objects that both got reads on, the 3000 was faster. Not sure if the Terrapin was original or new but it had a non adjustable diopter and the image looked like crap.

I tried these out here in New Zealand on a local match a few weeks ago. One of the guys attending is a Surveyor by trade so we checked them against his laser equipment, or as he put it “the truth”.
They are within .8m accurate to 4000m which was the furthest we could range. When connected to a 5700 elite we were getting solutions as far as we could range.

I've been playing with the target card feature in the Kestrel elite. The nice thing about the interface with the Kilo 3000 is that you can simply select the target indicator (ABCDE..etc.) lase the target, and move to the next target indicator. You can fill out a ten spot target card with actual ranges extremely quickly.

I am amazed at the speed of the Kilo 3K. I get lightning quick reads out to 3200M (the farthest I've been able to find a target).
The built in scanning feature work extremely well.
Several have mentioned their diopters were loose, mine has decent tension but automatically rolls away from the setting. I have to reach over with my thumb and hold them in place or they roll out of adjustment. Anyone else experience this?
I use the Sig 2400ABS at work and it's great. Super easy, fast and ultra reliable. Using a bino/Kestrel combo certainly sounds a little more accurate as I trust having the Kestrel in there. However it's two items to use versus one. You can't have the kestrel in your pack or the weather will be off, so now I need to juggle two items quickly. If I have the time I use my Sig, ARC Ballistics and a Kestrel Drop...but in a pinch my Sig has never let me down.
You can lock the weather on the kestrel, take it out soon it to acclimate, Catie weather in 'live' mode, change to 'lock' mode and put it in your pack or pocket.
Weather doesn't change, and you can use the lrf with the kestrel for the firing solution.
If weather changes, re-acclimate, and capture.

The 2400ABS can't connect that way as far as I know...and I tried using mine. That being said I have done tests and found it to be just as accurate (minus wind of course) so it doesn't really matter.
After playing around with my shooting partner's K3000 BDX I ordered a set for myself. Got them in time for this past weekend's Snipershide Cup. On the way there I was offhand ranging rocks at 2550+ yards. With both my partner and I using them at the match, they really helped with our workflow. We'd just split up the targets and range them and since we each had ours linked to our Kestrels and have matching dope, it was really fast. I also hand problem ranging the longest target of the weekend (1445 yards) through some morning cloud/fog.
I did notice the diopters constantly coming un-adjusted during the first day but that was solved with some electrical tape. I'll be ordering the correct size of Butler Creek caps for both the ocular and objective ends.
As an aside, I also got a Hill People Gear heavy recon kit bag and attached their medium bino pouch to the front of it with a single mag pouch on either side and ran that all weekend instead of my usual battle belt. The Binos just fit in the pouch and it was a nice setup for such a tripod heavy match, nice having some admin stuff, kestrel and the binos right up front and not too bad when prone.

Since I work on UH1Y I figured why not side my side compare them to a FLIR Brite Stsr Block II
They matched exactly with one another out to 3,665 yards in the middle of the desert. I ran out of thing to target
Awesome touch with the Lego. I was gonna go for the Terrapin since Vectronix was the gold standard for a lot of people. However, seems like Sig has put out a solid product.

Do these Binos come with Lens caps like the Vortex HD Binos? Doesnt look like it...any alternative for lens covers?
They didn't I got them on Amazon . I didn't see any on Sigs site, contacted them to day because I know their Zulu series come with caps. The one I ordered are good enough until the true fits are found. I've look at the Swarovski caps with the inner bevel fit, those may be an option based on what they come back with
No, they don't come with covers. I'm using vortex defender caps and the optronics 45.5 caps.
I have a pair of the butler creek flip up caps for sale, used once in the sig3000bdx, going in another direction on the range finder. Pm me if interested.

The objective covers I got for the Fury don't fit well at all on my 3k's, they don't stay on. There is a post somewhere on here where someone is using butler creek caps that apparently work much better.
As for the eyepiece cover from Vortex, they work fine on mine.
You want the Butler Creek Multiflex 25, 26, 27 objectives for the eyepieces and the 39, 40 objectives for the objectives. They work quite well.
Today I tried to push the kilo3k at extreme distances, the conditions were not perfect because there is a lot of humidity and 35°C, the maximum distance I hit was 4580 meters (5000+ yards). The target was not completely reflective, I think on a road sign you can do better. Anyway the kilo 3k is amazing...
Somewhere in this thread there is reference to 2 different diameter o-rings, I bought both but never installed since I am going in a different LRF direction
