Join the contest SubscribePretty much 100% agree. I’m very excited about the M250. And there are way too many people they’re planning to issue M7s to, who have much more important things to do and extra things to carry.Roger that. The most interesting things about NGSW are the LMG, the rifle used as a DMR/SASS, and the cartridge technology applied to smaller firearms.
Within an Infantry Company, here are all the duty positions that are going to look at the XM7 and say, “What the......"

MTR Team Leader (“Guys, time to draw....weapons.”)

The Company Commanders will not want to issue out the XM157 Integrated Fire Control and Laser-Aiming/IR Illuminating systems due to the $10,800 statement of charges price on each one (2022 dollars), except for maybe a few NCOs.
Can you imagine? “Sir, PFC Akbar-Jones just lost one of dem -157s. We’ve already stripped the soldiers down and began sweeping the forest on-line."
Captain: “My......beautiful, precious career......iz gone. RTO, gimme the hand mic....."
"Rakkasan 6 actual, this is Bravo 6 Actual.....uhhhh, we lost a -157......"

A few hours later, as the Engineers string up the triple-strand concertina wire around the Company and place guards on them, a dark cloud emerges from nowhere and hovers over that Company until the XM157 Electro-Optical Aiming Module Fire Control Widget is located, which it won’t be, because it was sold to a stripper acting as an agent for Chinese and Russian foreign materials collection and exploitation operatives who have been running the local strip joints for years.
Or maybe it all be ok? We’ll see.
I think the main duty positions that will benefit from and appreciate the XM7/XM157 combo are Snipers.Pretty much 100% agree. I’m very excited about the M250. And there are way too many people they’re planning to issue M7s to, who have much more important things to do and extra things to carry.
I think the M7 has a lot of potential if you limit it to the straight riflemen in a squad. Everyone else keeps M4s.
But, there are enough expensive and sensitive items issued out nowadays that I don’t think the 157 will be an issue.
That was before it/they/senior leader got a shaving profile.God, it’s a commissioned officer… What an example for it’s soldiers.
Milley was my BC in Korea. I thought he looked familiar a few years ago but didn’t put 2 and 2 together until I looked at my 1-506th yearbook. There he was, but much thinner of course.I graduated Q Course, so nobody knows what you need more than me. Right, BG? Yes sir.

How does your career compare to gen milley? What values have you added to your profession?
Come on, this thing has
2 charging handles, thats twice as many…
Folding stock( gangsta fire ability)
A replaceable cam slot in the upper.
Quick change barrel.
BTW… nobody makes it that high in the ranking( milley). With out being yes men. Anyone says no, they got more behind willing to say yes… been like this for a very very long time. Any one with moral fortitude took a walk, long before they got their stars…
The steal head cartridge and the metallurgy used in the barrel to with stand the higher pressure are pretty impressive. Wonder if that will trickle down.Don't forget bullets that are supersonic to 1300 yards and it comes in FDE which goes faster.

These guys have posted 3 of a 4 part series on it.
Posts a 1.4 moa group with a well used one. Same rifle has been passed around by all the gun tubbers, full auto fired. I do not know the rnd count. But I imagine pretty high.

Good 1-for-1 over the M110, though the magnification is limited to 8x on the top-end with the XM157.
It’s too much gun for a Rifleman due to the mags, even if that Rifleman is large in stature.
They’re going to re-learn this the hard way, same as they did with the M14 back in the early 1960s.

Ooof.
It's not just that it's flexing. It's that is stays cocked to one side after you flex it. It should return to center, like any decent AR handguard made in the last decade does.I will ask, it is a free floated barrel so don't they all flex if you torque them? Why would clamping the rail make it more rigid since it is free floated? I may not be understanding the video.
There was the option of a musette bag clipped to the straps if you could get, "borrow", or homebrew one. Not the best of gear but much more convenient for certain troops vs the damnable haversack that had to be packed just so or the assault vests that were fine for brief approach but not so good for wading ashore out of LVTs in chin-deep water. Which they addressed later on with the M56 and M61 kit, being able to carry a pair either with an adapter or direct-clip.Grandpa didn’t even have a ruck. They carried Haversacks or tanker’s rolls attached to armored vehicles and trucks back then in the ETO.
I tried it on my Spear LT and can not replicate it. Makes me wonder if the guy making the video does not have the barrel seated correctly and the screws torqued properly. I do not have a gap in the handguard as pronounced as in the video. My rifle is also newish so it is not fully broken in.It's not just that it's flexing. I'm not sure what the mount attachment limiting hamdguard deflection is all about but it doesn't seem right. Is the HG being pinched that much?
What a bad post…But not only is it heavy but costs a lot . It’s what all the cool kids have .
My LT doesn't move that much either.I tried it on my Spear LT and can not replicate it. Thank you from dropping out. More for others. The spear will be around for a long timeLMT already has a 9-10lb piston 308 and a much better track record of supporting their product lines. No thanks Sig.
What else does your crystal ball say?The spear will be around for a long time
Did you notice their fix is for the Virtus?Must be a problem for enough people that Arisaka has enough demand to sell a solution.
Did you notice their fix is for the Virtus?
They actually make it for the Spear LT and a number of other Sig hand guards. I have one on my LT currently.Did you notice their fix is for the Virtus?
Do they do anything? I mean I'm not using a PEQ to shoot 600yds and at 100 it's accurate enough to stay center mass. They actually make it for the Spear LT and a number of other Sig hand guards. I have one on my LT currently.
Would she fit through the hatch of a tank ?God, it’s a commissioned officer… What an example for it’s soldiers.
Don’t be a hater…. It going to be the new weapon. Be good with it. Evolution is good. What else does your crystal ball say?
There is no way you are that dumb to ask that… when you ask a question like that, run it across your husband first. DamnWould she fit through the hatch of a tank ?
uh.. yea. It’s been adopted already. I think many are in denial about it. It’s happening whether people like it or not. I can’t believe how many are in denial… lmao.Is it really though?
So this is the first time you've watched a bunch of high ranking brass and politicians grease the palms of friends in the industry, waste millions of taxpayer dollars to develop the next greatest system, line their own pockets, "adopt" said system, make sure to get plenty of promotional press photos of the system "spreading democracy " to hype it and justify the expense, then years later you'll talk to boots who have never personally seen one in the field?uh.. yea. So you are saying this weapon is a product of high ranking military personnel greasing thier pockets and taking care of sig? Show me some proof. You are a pompous ass. It’s obvious you don’t like the weapon. Everyone can see that. Got it. When were you in? About 50 years ago? If ever? You are the guy who can’t stay away from a thread that you hate. It’s like the judge who max out a DUI and then gets busted for one. It’s a good weapon. Deal with it. You are the guy who hates innovation. Embrace it.So this is the first time you've watched a bunch of high ranking brass and politicians grease the palms of friends in the industry, waste millions of taxpayer dollars to develop the next greatest system, line their own pockets, "adopt" said system, make sure to get plenty of promotional press photos of the system "spreading democracy " to hype it and justify the expense, then years later you'll talk to boots who have never personally seen one in the field?
Meanwhile all those boots will keep saying they didn't get sufficient range time or proficiency with the last weapon system, much less the new one.
Not saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks, just saying I wouldn't hold my breath. Government has a long track record of screwing up everything it touches.
Calm down Karen. I don't care about the Spear either way. It's clear that you've fallen in love, and that's fine. Go rub another one out over it.So you are saying this weapon is a product of high ranking military personnel greasing thier pockets and taking care of sig? Show me some proof. You are a pompous ass. It had nothing to do with me falling in love. It was about you getting called out on your BS and making up crap. You can deflect by calling me Karen or whatever. You got exposed spreading a bunch of crap. Stop it. Don’t need anymore CNN conspiracies from people.Calm down Karen. I don't care about the Spear either way. What? Stop pulling strawman arguments out of your ass. You didn't call out anything, you just changed the subject four times in one paragraph and didn't once address the well known fact that many selection processes are heavily influenced by money and politics, and this may or may not just be another one of those cases. It had nothing to do with me falling in love.
