Hi, i hope someone might help me figure out what i need. I'm very new to all of this, its my first longer range rifle. I'm scheduled to take a class in a few months and wanted to make sure i had whati need in advance.

I have a stock Sigssg3000 rifle in 308, 24 in barrel. I just purchased a Bushnell 6-24x50mm Elite Illuminated MilDot Argon 30mm Riflescope, Matte Black ET6245F. I'm told i should have a 20 moa tilt to help with longer range shooting options. The challenge is that the rifle has a 0 moa rail integral with the gun.

I noted that Spuhr has a 20moa mounting system but it is very dear. wondering if there are other reasonable options out there.

For example, i was directed to a rail that fits on top of the current rail (PRI 1-Piece Extended Picatinny-Style Riser Mount 20 MOA Elevated AR-10, LR-308, SR-25 Flat-Top Aluminum Matte) and while that would work it means pushing the scope higher and higher up off the barrel plane.

i also noted that Burris has signature rings that have inserts that might alter the tilt. not sure if they are recommended?

I'd really appreciate any help or direction as finances are tight and i don't want to make foolish purchases.

i don't think Badger makes the 20moa tilt....or at least i couldn't find it. I think ADM might have something. got to see if it will fit the scope dimensions

You were right. Sorry. I was thinking of the 34mm version that they make. Even then, it would put the scope up too high for your rifle. Mabad...

As suggested above, the AI mount is a good option though, and the price is good as well.

I would go with the 20 moa Nightforce A190 (1.125") but call Nightforce before you buy. (Ph. # 208 476 9814.) I have a Sig 3000 and just used the .885 rings which were perfect as I will not use the 308 beyond 1000 yards though at Cow Town they have the 308 go 1800 to 2000 yards. I would rather use a 300WM or Lapua at that range and use a scope that had a lot of adjustment like the ATACR.

Awesome rifle, took mine to a match today and did my personal best, by far.

I don't know of any inclined rail that mounts on top of the receiver rail. Not saying that it doesn't exist or couldn't be made, but haven't seen one.

That Bushnell is listed as having 70 MOA of elevation adjustment. Assuming you get half of that after zeroing, you would have 35 MOA left which would take you out to 925-950 yards with 175gr BTHP loads, without any holdover. Use some reticle holdover (as in, use one of the mildots below the crosshair as your aiming point) and you can get out to 1k or more.

Ask yourself how often you will be shooting beyond 900 yards. Is it often enough to pay $100+ extra for elevation in the rings? If most of your shooting is at less than 900 yards, I would use standard rings, not worry about it, and learn to use holdover when shooting at 1k. If you're going to be shooting a lot at 1k, I'd probably go get something in a different caliber. Or get a scope with more internal elevation. That 6-24x Bushnell is a good scope, but doesn't have a ton of elevation adjustment.

The Burris rings with inserts seem to get OK reviews. Any of the high dollar rings and mounts mentioned above should be fine, but only make sense if you're doing lots of >900 yard shooting.

Here is a picture if the mount that fits reiciver rail directly without use of picatinny.
Yes its certainly more costly than many Of the alternatives but do also offer more.

No need to spend money on a picatinny rail, built in bubble level and a lot Of future possibilys.

We only offer two directmount models for Sauer 30mm 20 moa and 34mm 30 moa

I'm new to the Sig SSG 3000, just picked up my new version American built rifle yesterday. Through my local GS from Atlantic Tactical $1339, decent price. I am going to top it with a Vortex Viper PST 6-24 X 50 FFP scope. I looked at the Spuhr mount and at $400 it is too pricey for this build. I also found the AADMount one piece base that will give me 20 MOA and it looks like it might be the right choice. Does anyone have any experience using this mount? Please advise as it's half the price of the Spuhr.

1339 for that Rifle is a great price!
Here they sell 6,5x55 barrels for same kind of money as many barrelblanks costs and it require no gunsmith to get it in place so the SSG is a lot gun for The money

For what it's worth I go to 1000 all the time with my SSG, no MOA just regular rings... Much past 1100 though and I'm out of elevation. Unless I hold over with the reticle. Running a Vortex HS-T 4-16 x 44
