Hi, i hope someone might help me figure out what i need. I'm very new to all of this, its my first longer range rifle. I'm scheduled to take a class in a few months and wanted to make sure i had whati need in advance.
I have a stock Sigssg3000 rifle in 308, 24 in barrel. I just purchased a Bushnell 6-24x50mm Elite Illuminated MilDot Argon 30mm Riflescope, Matte Black ET6245F. I'm told i should have a 20 moa tilt to help with longer range shooting options. The challenge is that the rifle has a 0 moa rail integral with the gun.
I noted that Spuhr has a 20moa mounting system but it is very dear. wondering if there are other reasonable options out there.
For example, i was directed to a rail that fits on top of the current rail (PRI 1-Piece Extended Picatinny-Style Riser Mount 20 MOA Elevated AR-10, LR-308, SR-25 Flat-Top Aluminum Matte) and while that would work it means pushing the scope higher and higher up off the barrel plane.
i also noted that Burris has signature rings that have inserts that might alter the tilt. not sure if they are recommended?
I'd really appreciate any help or direction as finances are tight and i don't want to make foolish purchases.
