yea the levelplex is a very cool and innovative feature in these scopes, i wish other manufacturers would pick it up as well.
I just got 3 different specs when looking up the 3-18, and couldn’t find it on Sigs page. One major retailer showed 18”s. My original note said just over 15”. I just picked a different site, and it shows more reasonable measurements at 12.4, with it being 2” shorter than a 5-25. I’ll stick with that. Thanks for confirming that it didn’t sound right.
Current Tango6 Gen 2 line-up inclides 1-6x24, 3-18x44, 4-24x50 and 5-30x56 scopes.
I am looking at the 4-24x50 right now and I have looked at Gen 2 3-18x44 in the past. So far I like both scopes.
The Gen 2 3-18x44 is a lot shorter than Gen 1, but also significantly heavier, which is why I decided to look at the higher magnification version that is almost the same weight. Once we go into heavier weight, I want a little more magnification.

This makes sense. I went back and found the old measurements I wrote down and they were for a Gen 1.The initial Gen 1's where the 2-12 and 3-18, which are around 14 inches. I have a 2-12 and I think the 2-12 and the 3-18 are the same length just a larger diameter objective on the 3-18. The 5-25 came out later and was around the same I believe but came with Levelplex. The 2-12 was discontinued and Gen 2 of the 3-18 was shortened and included new shorter turrets added the Dev-L reticle, which wasn't available on Gen 1's and Levelplex. They also added the 4-24
I was thinking the same thing on weight when I updated my notes on the spec comparison. May just go bigger.Current Tango6 Gen 2 line-up inclides 1-6x24, 3-18x44, 4-24x50 and 5-30x56 scopes.
