Love glock, but my 26 is a little fat for iwb. I asked an employee at a gun store if he had heard about a single stack 9mm glock ever coming out. He said he was told that there were being manufactured and were at the factory. Has anyone else heard anything like this and might have more details ?? I like the 42 concept but haven't jumped on .380 band wagon and doubt I ever will.

I was waiting years. I like Glock, no issues with them, they work. I ain't holding my breath for a single stack 9mm. The two top choices for the composite lower and fairly decent are Springfield Armory and S & W M & P. The Springer has a little bit of rail and from what I feel weighs a bit more. I am going with the S & W Sheild in 9mm.

I looked hard at a Kahr too. But ultimately can't stand the trigger.

Oh - I believe Glock will come out with a single stack 9mm when it is profittable. In like another 5 years (that truly depends on politics as well) . Everything Glock does is driven by profit, which is as it should be for a business, but they want all the rewards and market when they jump in. I do respect the product. But, IMO, they missed the boat with the .380.

Thanks for the reply I used to have the xds 45 and was not a fan despite everybody I talked to raved that it was "the " gun hands down. IMO the grip was uncomfortable and didn't like 5rd mags. I went to buy the 9mm but compared it to the shield first and ended up buying the shield. Loved grip and trigger pull. Also liked extended mag it didn't make it excessively tall like xds. I actually traded a pm 9 on the shield. I really like the kahr as a pocket gun but I agree with trigger. I'm extremely accurate with my glock 19 and wanted that out of my ccw and the M&p is the closest I've found

I would be surprised if Glock wasn't developing one right now, what with all the clamoring for one going on since the announcement of the G42. I know I would get one for certain. The M&P seemed to be a great pistol, but after comparing it to the Beretta Nano I went in the smaller direction of the Nano. I very much agree with the Kahr trigger comments; if I wanted that type of trigger, I'd be buying a DA revolver.

I can't remember where I heard this so you can consider it an unsubstantiated internet rumor but I thought someone at Glock was on record saying they planned on making a 9mm version of the G42. Does anyone else remember hearing this or did I just dream it?

I have heard from a couple different sources that there will be a single stack 9mm Glock possibly available as early as the end of this year. It will be the same size as the G42 just chambered in 9mm. It is all just a marketing plan to release the 380 before the 9, similar to Springfield releasing the XDS45 first.

FWIW, the Glock rep I spoke with at the SHOT show told me that a 42 sized pistol in 9mm would be released in the not so distant future.

I heard the same thing, August I heard as a rough estimate. I think it's funny they skipped 40 in their line and went strait to 41. Maybe that's because their .40 s&w line are referred too as Glock 40's or because they have a future model coming out (ie: single stack 9mm)

Who is John Galt?

During/around SHOT time this year, the rumors and talk was thick with references to a small single stack 9mm Glock.

...Just like there is every year...

I will admit it seemed a little more legit this year though.

Regardless, I got sick of waiting for that pistol a long time ago and bought a Kahr PM9 which I completely love. I'll of course buy the Glock if/when it should ever become available, but frankly, it'll have to be somehow more amazing than Glocks already are to dethrone the PM9 as my EDC. I hope they can pull it off.
