Many factory rifles come with the old sling studs, which I completely hate and have utterly no use for. To me it's like drilling a wood screw into the stock for no reason. All of the good slings I use for competition are on QD. Only my hunting rifles have slings that live on them where I don't mind these studs.

In the past I've removed the studs, drilled out the holes, and installed GroveTec flushcups. This way I can use the rifle for silhouette and off hand matches with a sling, but also remove it for Base Class positional shooting.

My LGS that focuses on ARs found these:

I'd never seen them before, but they're a great idea if you have no use for sling studs and they require no modification to the gun. I ordered a pair, and my only reservation is that they may annoy me, flopping around, went the sling is off...but we'll see.

Unless I totally misunderstood what you’re after…

I would also prefer the flush cups than someone screwing a wood screw into my stock, period. However, on the CZ 457 AT-ONE the rear sling stud is in the plastic housing that covers the adjustable comb and stock. Getting that to look professional and factory is going to be hit or miss. I haven't removed it and I kinda don't want to. Rather than deal with that I can snap one of these on and go. The front stud is getting a flush cup..

Hmmmmm....well, I have the other interpretation.

I have flush cups installed on all of the custom rifle stocks as well as have installed them on some of the factory stocks, both wood and synthetic. In some of those flush cups, I have installed an adapter that allows me to use the original gangster sling attachments...of those, I prefer the type that are spring loaded. You push on the bar in one direction and the sling attachment can then be swung out of the way to push the post through the stock attachment. I like those on the rifles I mostly use for hunting but I tend to use just the flush cup sling swivels on slings that I have not installed the old school sling stud attachments. Think Uncle Mikes sling attachments.

That all being said, I would not use anything other than the flush cup on anything other than some clone or period correct rifle. Flush cup allows far more versatility.

I have it on every gun because I adore it. When draped over my back, it prevents me from being jabbed by the bolt and turrets. It might not be the best idea to carry yourself like you describe. Although it wouldn't be a quick draw situation, I also adore it for my black rifles since I press through thick undergrowth with it held to my chest. Someone far more tacticool than I could probably explain it better.
