Guys, where do you think would be the best place to send a student of mine for a serious sniper/counter sniper program. He is currently doing well with me and is getting out of the army. Looking to go back east asia as contractor as designated marksman - counter sniper in private sector. There are many programs, which would look best on his resume? Any thoughts?

Re: Sniper Training and Certification

Thanks guys. I had considered GPS and had talked to my student about them but had not thought of Storm Mountain. I appreciate the input and the review links.

Stay Safe........

Re: Sniper Training and Certification

How about having your budy contact the possible contractors he is interested in and ask them what school they will consider.

When my wife was deployed (2003) I considered the same thing, everyone I talked to would consider military sniper schools.

They accepted mine (USAMU Sniper School) but I had to back out after my wife was sent home with a broken back.

Re: Sniper Training and Certification

I will be offering two classes in 2011 that are NC LEO certified basic and advanced.

So send me a e-mail if you want to get on the list of students.

The certified classes are for LEO / Mil only. But I will do a civilian same training course with a cert of attendance not a cert of training.

I would suggest he contact the RECRUITERS from the companies he is hoping to hire with. He may find that they aren't really interested unless he has been an active duty military sniper.

Those contracts are pretty competitive and there are quite a few BTDT guys who compete for them.

It would kind of suck for him to spend money on a school that won't do him any good.

I don't know how much of a void the new WPS contracts caused, so he may get lucky, but it pays to do your homework.

Some folks make it through the cracks, but they are rare this day and age.
