Snowing here!

Re: Snowing here!

Dang, I'm up here just outside Denver. I'm NOT ready for winter, mentally or otherwise.

This is the first year that I'm truly dreading winter....

Re: Snowing here!

I woke up the other morning and there was snow on the San Francisco peaks in Flagstaff. Something tells me it's going to be a long cold winter in Northern Arizona!

Re: Snowing here!

Lucky you! I'm down the road and it's just raining here. I love the snow! But then I grew up in Phoenix and spent too many summers in Iraq.

It can't get too cold for me anymore...but my wife is from Russia and is not as fond of cold as I am

Supposed to be close to 100* here in Phoenix the next couple of days! he-he

Re: Snowing here!

I'd love to have that here. I absolutely hate the heat of summer, but I can live with the snow and the cold of winter. I told the wife we're moving north when I retire...she is not amused. She has insisted on a southern winter home!

Re: Snowing here!

Looks like Celia and I will remain here in Central NY this Winter. We're a couple of hours East of Buffalo, and about an hour directly South of Sodus Point on Lake Ontario.

I love Winter, but it doesn't love either of us.

Counting heavily on my Grandkiddos to help with the shovelling this year, I'm beyond that stuff these days. Once things get off to a solid roll, we get several inches overnight, pretty much every night.

We usually see our first snow just in time for opening day of deer season here. This year, that's Nov. 20, but I believe we'll see that snow before October's over. Last night we had our second frost of Autumn. I can recall sitting for hours in a tree stand, freezin' my butt off in 15 degrees and a steady 10-15MPH wind. This year I'm bundling up a lot better.
