Country of origin and assembly was a major selling point of Burris, prior to the XTR 3 assembly move out of the US.

Specifically one that many tried to use as a deciding point over other choices in the market.

The Burris reps on this forum specifically called other brands "cheap chinese shit", when compared to it.

So Burris reps called Chinese scopes cheap Chinese shit then built a scope in the Philippines using high quality Japanese glass and that hurt your feelings?

Last I checked Philippines + Japan ≠ China... But I suppose to some it might.
