So I have a stupid question.

So I was fondling newest build tonight. A superlight weight upper to go on one of my previous lowers. Anyway this lower has a 6 position stock. I have two of those stocks. How in the hell do you guys keep your beard/goat hairs from being pulled out. Absolutely hate it and it makes me tear up. Every fricken time I shoot with these damn lowers it feels like I have a bald spot afterward. Any tips? I can’t be the only one.

I used a piece of electrical tape. I also built a lower with an A2 stock and got an LMT DMR stock for one of them. Most of my carbines have BCM gunfighter stocks on them and they are so tight that they don't grab any whiskers.

Magpul ubr is adjustable, solid, no rattle, and doesnt pull hairs. It also looks pretty good as well.

It’s only been a problem for me if the beard gets past a certain length. So I use it as an indicator to break out the buzzers. ?

Actually the goat is fairly short already. I use a #5 gaurd. Hmmm I’ve never actually changed a stock on an ar. Have 2 A2s and 2 six positions.

So basically I’m a hairy cheap ass that won’t spend money on a good stock? It’s scary with the little bit I’ve posted you guys know me this well......

You know... this isn't a stupid question at all.... I do not like standard adjustables for this very reason. I leave them on the daughter's and wife's AR's... and go A2 stocks on mine.

I have 2 Magpul CTRs on 2 Carbines, the Milspec doesn't pull hair commercial does, and a UBR on a 6.5 Grendal for the wife that doesn't pull hair. I wear a shemagh around my neck at the range most of the time, no issues. with any of them.

I used to have this problem and found the best solve was to stop being a pansy.

I never really felt the need for the added complexity of an adjustable stock anyhow.... It's all Ace Skeleton stocks for me.

I am running a Vltor stock and it will do it every so often. the only ones that hurt are the mustache hairs right under the nose. I could get kick a baby they hurt so bad. the other hairs don't hurt at all.

once your stock claims enough hairs, those hairs will provide cushion and protection.
