and there it is. so simple, so true. and inarguable. and yet....they try. when you have former LEOs telling you how bad it is...and you STILL stick your head in the sand......i try really hard not to call people names as it shuts people down and that is that. the goal is to wake folks up, because without that, the problem grows.
i'm not anti police. i am anti corruption and against violation of the bill of rights and the constitution. it starts are the level of the individual interactions. when i had to stop people, i got to experience firsthand the frustration of balancing disrespect and people's rights. i never ONCE violated them. and boy oh boy.....let me tell you that some people push you so fucking hard that it is EXTREMELY hard to do right by them. but i always did. like it or not, that's what the job is.
somehow, people too fucking lazy to do that job, allowed it to turn into something else. somehow, they've pushed the "officer safety" bullshit so far that people just generally accept it; even though NOWHERE in the bill of rights does it state where officer safety over rides a person's rights.
amazingly, people still allow it. and they get pissed at you when you shine the light on it.
