I don't know a whole lot about optics, hence why I come here to ask questions. I have an ar, its getting SBRed right now 9have shot it on friends SBR lowers its fun) its 6.5 grendedl 10.5" barrel kinda wishing I went 12.5 but oh well I've had it for a while now.
thinking a fixed power optic would make more sense normally but I have a 1.5-8X26 ior valdada scope its heavy but I don't care about weight, and the gun has surprised me with its accuracy for such a short barrel 3 rds in 1 hole at 50m I'm pretty sure puts it at .75 at 100m. So thinking I might just leave this scope on. However with the rings it has the scope stops right over the charging handle with its forward scope ring at the front of the ar reciever and at the rear of the front section of the tube.
Is this right and I'm supposed to pull the adjustable stock to the 3rd or 4th position back? Or should i get some sort of mount that moves the scope forward so I can close down more and be tighter with the rifle. Also getting the scope away from the chargin handle making it easier to quickly hit that
this is more of an issue with standing seeing as pull the stock a little further back when I go prone. If your curious I got a magpul ACS stock to go with this scope, medium range stock medium range scope seemed to go together (the CTR IMO goes with fixed power scopes/optics at no to low magnification)
