Ironic to realize that with our current technology and understanding of material physics, we've pretty much got hands down on space exploration but only got a tiny footing in submarine exploration. The pressure differences in space: 1/2-1 atmosphere (pressure) inside versus 0 atmosphere outside. If a crack or leak happens and they often do on the ISS and other prolonged orbital missions, they can be repaired along the way with various cutting edge expanding foams and sealants. It is only propellant and engine tech that is really keeping us from going farther out. Under the ocean however? 1 atmosphere inside versus 400-600 atmospheres of water outside. One pinprick anywhere on the vessel, and it is over. Even at the bottom of a regular swimming pool, there is enough water pressure that should the drain open and an unfortunate person was caught in the outflow current, they would be squeezed into unrecognizable paste and strained right through the drain. Absolutely terrifying to even comprehend.

Now think about this. On the Jovian moon Europa, there are oceans roughly 6-12 times DEEPER than the Marianas Trench of the Pacific Ocean. At Europan depths, the water pressure is so high that conventional fluid mechanics begin to behave strangely. The water there is under so much extreme pressure that it starts to take on properties of superconducting solids even while still maintaining a liquid form and that is what scientists are thinking is responsible for creating Europa's magnetic field, which is surprisingly strong for a planet as small as it is.

WTF, are those fucking LOOSE CABLES on top of that carbon fiber deathtrap??? And they were going to explore a huge maze-like sunken ship that has all sorts of spiky debris sticking out of it like spears, in a friggin' composite beverage can with loose wires and appendages all over it that can get hooked on everything and trap them on the sea floor even if they didn't get crushed into marinara sauce? I never even noticed these things in earlier pictures of the thing because I was too focused on the memes. Holy shit.

2023 has been a very prophetic year so far and recently, just like how the storyline went in Arthur C. Clarke's 2010: Odyssey 2, Chinese scientific sources said that China DO plan to send a lander to the Jovian moon Europa and possibly penetrate it's ice crust, explore it's subsurface ocean, and bring back water samples as soon as they develop the means to. They can use a lot of our baizuo to test spacecraft for manned missions. Leftists are expendable and they don't need shit for brains to be on such a mission as the craft would be remotely controlled from Earth...

Loose parts, goes down too easily, can get impaled on all kinds of things, stuff hanging. Total death trap.

I’d add that the submarine seems to have a lot of the same issues!
