If you've been wanting to get into a full capability system as far as being able to have a LRF slaved to a spotter and activated via a trigger cable as well as have all of the data instantly populate into FFS on a Trimble, this is it. With the PVS14 adapter and in NV mode, this works just as it would during the daytime allowing you to bypass the need for a large spotting scope setup to lug around.
Using it with FFS will not only allow you to quickly range and get your target data and exterior ballistics, but also use functions such as how far are 2 objects away from each other when one is not you, angle between other objects as well as being able to get exact GPS/MRGS coordinates on whatever you range. Used this model on deployment and can vector is CAS with them due to the list of capabilities they have; this isn't your dads deer hunting rangefinder.
Stated range capability is 3000m, but I've used it further than that. Condition is 'like new/very good' as its obviously been used, but the only visible sign is from a few small and light scratches in the finish mainly from transporting/putting it on a rail. Glass and function are 1000% and have never had a hiccup with it at all; only selling because I've lucked into, well, something.
Package includes:
- PLRF15c unit with internal compass. This is also one of the serviceable ones with the full metal body with screws; not sure if this is the regular version or not but have seen some with a fully enclosed body that does not have all of the screws allowing to open it up.
- Ashbury PLRF15c PVS14 night vision mount that attaches via a thumbscrew into the threaded hole in the bottom of the LRF body. We made a slight addition to it, in that we put an aluminum 1913 rail on a riser ontop to hold a PEQ15. This allows the person on the PLRF15 to find a target, range the target and then illuminate/designate the target at night. It is also completely removable as the 1913 rail piece is only attached via a removable allen screw and has not modified anything.
- Vectronix PLRF15c non magnetic data cable. These specific cables seem to be hens teeth as they are usually not sold by themselves. Allows you to plug into the data port on the PLRF15c and then use it 'live' with a Trimble. Has a trigger button mechanism on it to where you can fire the LRF via the button should it be slaved to a spotter so there is no need to look through the PLRF15 while ranging.
