I asked this same exact question to Philip (at Vectronix)...I’ve read the entire user manual (all 100+ pages). I need some help. Can some one tell me the process for wind capture when ranging multiple targets (say on a stage) that has a wide left to right pan. If target (A) has a 3-5 mph coming from 12:00 and all the way over to target (E) it’s coming from 4:00. Do the Vectors go off target A and calculate as the azimuth changes as you work your way to target E? Or is this all gonna have to be manually inputted?
You MUST input wind with each corresponding target. The ONLY way to do this is through the app since you cannot input individual wind values for Target A, B, C, etc during capture.
This is a HUGE oversight since inputting wind to a large array of targets with varying DOF and wind would take far too long.
(I suggested to them that they change this through a firmware upgrade to a process similar to Kestrel: input all targets. Capture wind ONCE from XYZ bearing and have it apply to all targets in the TARGET CARD.)
