Re: Some 22lr data for all

My results are almost identical to yours on the Wolf, and I have a 25.5" long barrel.

My Federal AE HV Velocity is right in between your 2 Federal data blocks, but Spread, etc is almost identical to the Value pack.

How did it all shoot?

Re: Some 22lr data for all

Interesting, thank you.

I was noticing that people say Wolf sucks past 100 and the higher velocities stuff is much better.

I was shooting some CCI 22 shorts listed at 700 fps against some 1100 fps Remington shorts. The MV on the CCI's is about what you'd expect for 150y on a regular 1200 fps round and I was getting 8" of vertical spread at 50 yards. Interestingly, on a 10x scope I could watch the bullet fly

I wonder what velocities you're getting at 300y with the subsonic wolf ammo, and how much correlation can be gained from the 700 fps shorts at say 100y with a HV long rifle at 200-300 yards.

Next time I'm out to 300 I'll try getting an idea of true drop.

Re: Some 22lr data for all

For me/my gun @ 100m:

Federal 550 pack is the worst 5-6" groups
Federal 325 pack is in the middle 3-4" groups
Wolf Match Extra is the best, consistently under 3" groups.

I could not believe the the "Federal target grade" ammo did horrible on the chrony. I'm @ ~900 feet above sea level. Speed of sound should be around 1100fps. I would say the target grade would be almost as good as the Wolf if they would slow them down.
