This tow truck was parked outside my office door for a little while.

I know it's a chevy and I think it is generally from the 60's.

Any experts in here with an opinion on year? I think it was the 1/2 ton Cheyenne.

    Love that body style.
    I’m in the process of restoring a 1959.View attachment 8667583View attachment 8667585

My 59 project first time in the barn after snomegedon. sitting on blocks for stance, wheels just stuffed under it
One of my uncles has a ‘59 that he has dumped a ton of money into over the years. They don’t have kids so he gets quite a list done over the winter. And sorry, no pics. I’ll just add some of one of my dream projects instead…

1967-1972 F100 or F250 pickup. There are so many variations clanging around in my head that I can’t pick even a few to describe

My first truck was a 67' but didnt look that good! Pretty sure first gear was for towing houses!

I had a 1970 3/4 big block 400, full time 4wd and 4spd, fuel mileage was line of sight, maybe over the next hill, not much further. 7.50/16s and 4:10s, it was a hoss. It was originally my grandfather's and I once told someone after being asked what I towed with it, anything I can chain it up to.

My 1969 was a 3/4 ton 4x4, 33x 12.5 tires, manual 4 speed (with granny 1st gear), 4.56 gears in the axles, 350 small block, and a Rockwell transfer case.

Anyway, one day a coworker with a half ton Ford with a slushbox and 4 wheel drive wanted to hook up and see who could tow who around the parking lot.

I thought about it for a second, then calmly explained the error in his thinking. I said, "Think about this. I've got big, wide tires, a four speed with granny low, and 4.56 gears. All I have to do is put it in first gear and four low and let off the clutch. I won't even need to push the gas pedal." 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    He declined after that. 🤔😁

This brings back memories. Back in the late 80s I had a 58 Fleetwood. It was my daily driver. It was really a hunk of junk. But I was poor 😂
I’m laughing as I remember the vacuum operated windshield wipers. Driving in the rain you had to let off the gas, the wipers would cycle a couple times, then back on the gas and no wipers 😂
